Also, when emailing the office, I usually get an instant reply; and if not, the reply definitely comes within 24 hours. Love it! All in all, a great office! I'm happy to be their client.

Avoid Elite Accounting and Carlos Ramirez at all costs…read more Their negligence has caused us ongoing financial damage that we are still dealing with today. We continue to accrue penalties and interest on a 2018 tax filing because of their complete failure to do their job properly. The IRS has clear proof that we, as the client, signed and submitted our taxes in February 2019--yet Carlos and his team did not bother filing them until June 2019. That delay is entirely on them, and we are the ones paying the price. This has resulted in serious financial setbacks and an enormous waste of our time trying to fix a problem that should have never existed in the first place. Even worse, when we brought this to Carlos's attention, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed zero accountability. Instead of correcting his mistake, he had the audacity to try to charge us $500 just to "look into it." This is not just poor service--it is blatant negligence and a complete lack of professionalism. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not trust Elite Accounting or Carlos Ramirez with your taxes.

I asked him to please send his invoice. Two months later no invoice. I called his office 3 times over a 3 month period, explained the situation and was told he would return my call. Never got an invoice or a return call. Nothing. I was polite and business like every time I called. As a CPA myself, I would never treat a potential client like this, especially one that agreed to my price and delivery terms. No idea what the problem was. I wouldn't perform the work as I have never done a QDRO before. Very disappointed with a total and complete lack of professionalism as well as courtesy on his part. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM.

Gulf Stream was in the process of filing for bankruptcy and the agency did not make us aware of this fact and allowed us to pay our annual premium on July 12, 2021 knowing they were going out of business. Now, we're out the money until it is hopefully repaid from the state of Florida plus we have to pay a new insurance company an annual premium out of pocket. That is two annual premiums within 45 days. If they would have just contacted us and told to find a new company prior to renewal, all of this would have been avoided. Now it is costing $1900 out of pocket. Do not use this agency.

For the…read morefirst time in the history of the area a storm surge flooded every house causing significant damage to single story houses. I've experienced many hurricanes in the past, but none have necessitated evacuating my home due to food damage or other. Initially, we were in a very vulnerable state and ready to reach out for help. Unfortunately, people are ready to take advantage of people in this situation. RIA seemed like a reasonable company to deal with. I didn't dwell much on the contract which specified their fee of 10% of some amount to be determined. the initial payout from insurance was $30,000, so 10% seemed reasonable for the service provided by RIA. However, RIA provided little communication/advice after their initial involvement. I was resolved to communicate directly with my insurance company to answer questions and concerns. When a final payment was issued, RIA resumed communication and notified me that %10 of the total claim was due to them. There was no accountability of services provided, only an invoice. This was a significant grift, and a good example of being taken advantage of.
