Sometimes my 9:00 cat appointment gets pushed to 10:15 because of her scheduling problems. I'm going with the many, many local sitters who do even better jobs and they are invested in our neighborhood cats. Julie being "bonded" means nothing but she says that's her strength. Ok.

Two of our dogs were seniors and one - a very tiny special guy. All visited the vet prior. We tried a week or two of daytime visits to build rapport. She hired her mother for these visits. For our trip, we asked that Veronica to be the caretaker when we were gone, BUT she switched out for her mother at the last minute. Daily videos and reports were promised. No photos came. We had to beg for news. We came home to two extremely sick senior dogs. Bad infections from holding urine. Poop all over our carpet. One of our dogs never recovered. The other barely. Our vets were shocked at our dogs conditions. Our little guy developed damaged front legs and shoulders, apparently he was not supervised, allowed to jump off seats and run downstairs against our directions. To this day (4 yrs later), he is crippled , on medications, and in constant pain. VERONICA DID NOT TAKE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THIS CRIME. She only agreed to pay to clean the carpet. With all of our veterinarian costs and grief, we had no opportunity to pursue a legal case. Four years later, we've never recovered from the heartbreak. Dropping her off at the previous groomers, she'd have those sad puppy-dog eyes and a somewhat panicked behavior as I was leaving her. Not like leaving a child at kindergarten, but more like she knew she was gonna get hurt. When I'd pick her up she acted like she was making a jailbreak. She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. That was what prompted me to look for another spot and the good reviews convinced me to give Groomingtails a try and we are very pleased with their treatment of our pup and their work. Here's something amazing I have to add: I don't know why but ever since her grooming, when it is rainy and I bring the pup in and I give her a quick dry with a bath towel SHE SMELLS FRESH WITH THE SCENT SHE HAD FROM LAST GROOMING! I am floored. She is about to have her next grooming and that still works weeks after her last grooming. THAT, is lasting results! And her teeth were pure-white when they were done! Now she wants to drink her coffee through a straw,... oh, wait, that's my wife that does that! Anyway, yeah, it cost more but she's treated gently and the job is done well and I don't feel like I am handing her over to be tortured! I just hope their prices don't go up anytime soon!
