The teachers here are friendly and helpful to all the children. Lots of activities to do such as painting,water tray,arts and crafts and a good playground outside for supervised play. Most children who I know went there enjoyed it, I went there myself! It is quite safe and secure in my opinion and the children are watched over constantly. The favourites seem to be singing and story reading.

Results are good and the teaching is absolutely excellent. They are linked to the thriving St Thomas church and the vicar is in the school daily, doing assemblies, harvest etc. The school meets the healthy schools standard so the meals are healthy and well prepared. Uniform is a little bland (I like blazers but then I'm old fashioned!) but the children are a credit to the school. Good ofsted reports.

The Head teacher organises regular get togethers for the children and parents to raise money for the school, they are always fun and our children really enjoy going and meeting up with their friends after school. It's always a great night for us parents too, with beer, wine (ahh), soft drinks and hot dogs whilst we play Bingo, or do raffles. The school is really on the up, the attitude towards the children has improved so much over the last couple of years and they've actually started to do fun things, it's like the school is based around the children now! Like I said, Ofsted and Warrington can write what they like, my children LOVE going into school now and I couldn't be more happy. I really hope more parents will write in their comments about this school, I know there are a lot of very content parents out on the playground and hopefully next time around there will be content Ofsted staff too!

The teachers are friendly and some will go out of their way to help students get better grades. There are three school buildings vernon curzon and woodbank curzon isnt bad but the other two look really old and could do with a revamp. There are lots of extra activites for pupils to take part in outside of school time such as sports clubs,homework clubs chess clubs,choir and many more. There is a lot of walking around involved when you go to this school as you have to walk inbetween the buildings a lot. I managed to get 11 GCSE's grades A-C here so it cant be bad. Oh, and the school dinners are lovely!

I know they are trying to get this but the rubbish council wont do it.. SHAME on you Warrington council. For a small school this does well on the stats for good education. well done! needs a bigger carpark though I have to say... often have to park on street side as do alot of people. Some parents in cars can be very selfish parkers too.. but that's another review ;-) ! keep it up Our lady's.. shame about diocese fees each year.. if you have more than 1 child it can get expensive in catholic schools, especially at xmas time when they ask for it. Mrs W won 'teacher of the year' for the work she did, the school ended up 'a specialist college in the performing arts' sad that it's getting knocked down to build more houses And although I too haven't been a pupil for a good few years I have been back to watch productions and even attended Mrs W leaving do, which was a testament to the number of pupils she influenced over the years, one of my friends in particular had never even picked up a musical instrument until being at high school, she now has a masters from the Royal Northern and not only teachers but composes and has just taken on a rather high profile commission, another girl I know has gone on to do Drama in Strafford and is currently producing a version of A Midsummer's Night's Dream at the Edinburgh Festival, not to mention that chap who got into RADA

Okay, Fairfield wasn't a good school really but it was what you made of it. One of the good things…read morethat fairfield has taught me is to be independent and not to be spoon-fed information, which meant that when we all got to college, 5 out of the top 10 people in our year had attended Fairfield, all getting 4 As at A Levels or higher (myself included!). The ones who went to other schools and got higher GCSEs never actually seemed to do as well or be as independent. It is sad it's getting knocked down, but I think it is time for a new start for fairfield.
