I was very excited to stop in and try the new coffee shop addition to the store. They had a fun spring menu and I picked the raspberry matcha. My drink was under 6 dollars and was ready within minutes. The coffee nook is very cute and inviting. My drink was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I loved walking around the shop with my drink. There are so many amazing eye catching displays to take in. I loved the variety of local vendors to choose from within the shop. I did not purchase anything this visit but I will definitely be back for more drinks and to peruse the shop selection. The purple painted lady is a must stop location in Rochester for craft lovers and latte lovers alike! Inside of this paint and furniture refinishing store is a cute little coffee shop run by staff inside of the purple painted lady! I was lucky enough to talk to the owner, Trish, who has built this place from the bottom up! I ordered a Maple Brown Sugar Latte and it was so good! My mom was able to go with me this time and ordered the Honey Lavender latte. She said she would order it again and loved it. Unlike me, my mother likes fruitier drinks. I on the other hand love sweeter drinks and my maple brown sugar latte lived up to that hype! While I was here, I picked up a cute souvenir from Rochester for my boyfriend and picked up some pumpkin butter for me! I also picked up some paint for a chair I'm repainting for our house and can't wait to use more chalk paint in the future (it's my favorite to paint with). The prices aren't awful as well! For a sampler can of lavender chalk paint, pumpkin butter, a sticker, two lattes, and a cute sign for mine and my boyfriend's house I spent around $35-$40 for everything. This year, I'm also excited to return to Rochester to hit up the Purple Painted Lady festival in September! (9/20/25-9/21/25). The charity they are sponsoring this year is the EYS - Embrace your Sisters foundation that supports Breast Cancer. I can't wait to come back for this festival because the foundation is so near and dear to my heart as my mother and grandmother are both survivors of breast cancer. Fun coffee shop and antique store. Stopped there with my wife and her friend. They had a nice selection of items, including some artsy clothes, some painting stuff, coffee, and some fun people. My first order with these folks went very well, I was very happy. They filled the order and shipped quickly, exactly as outlined on their website. The second order was going well but didn't ship as described. I ordered Friday after 3:30 PM so I expected it to ship Monday. It didn't, then nothing on Tuesday so that evening I sent email (they give lots of contact information and send emails) asking if there was an issue with the order. I got the response the next morning. The first thing written was "Laura from my shop called and spoke with you on May 1st." Uh, wait. No, she did not, no one called me. That didn't sit right with me. They went on to explain that one item was out and stock due in that day - great, so that's why it hasn't shipped. No problem. And it really wasn't. Life happens, I understand. My thoughts kept going back to the email saying they had called me. I know they didn't, the first thing I did was look at my call logs. The only phone I have is a cell phone and a big benefit is that I can see missed calls, calls I ignore, take, block, etc. I even have a history for blocked numbers so I can see what numbers even attempted to call. But they made an issue of saying they called - which they didn't. I know they have the ability to see the same kind of call history on their end. And this attitude and insistence that they called - and spoke with me does not sit right with me and I can't see myself giving them any more business. read more
