Our order was taken- 3 meals arrived. The waitress did not ask if the 4th person was waiting on a meal. Eventually we enquired as to where the meal was- apparently the order had not gone through. This meal then had to wait in the queue! On asking for a discount, we were told that couldn't be done but were given a scone and tiny amount of jam & cream. J. O'Sullivan 12 January 2026.

As you walk through the garden shop you aren't expecting much but once you walk into the cafe you're slightly amazed at what you find, only to be led outside to the outdoor tables and from this point on the coffee could just be poured on you and you'd be happy! I feel as though I'm dining in a botanical garden, there is a huge space here with many nooks and crannies, all with tables and chairs, ranging from your general seating all the way to sun chairs out in the open and park benches to enjoy your coffee or meals. A book lovers paradise, there are so many quaint spots to set yourself up for a day full of reading and coffee. Have the unfortunate luck to have children bothering you? No problem, this place is a kids dream, I'm currently watching a group of children play the most intense game of hide and seek in the garden and their parents are having the most relaxing coffee without being bothered. Ok now for the food review... Coffee - 9/10 Best coffee I've had in Toowoomba, a smooth finish and a perfect temperature. (I should caveat this by telling the reader I come from Canberra and have grown up on cafes with bearded baristas serving coffee out of hipster mugs which were probably made out of German WWII helmets... who knows these days?) Salmon Eggs Benedict - 8/10 Perfect eggs, I cannot stress how important this is for a good Eggs Benedict rating. Salmon could do with being slightly smokier but they make up for it by giving you lots. A good hollandaise but nowhere near enough, which is served unexpectedly on a cut in half croissant... Initially I was quite wary of this but lo and behold it actually turned out great, points for originality. Suggest you ask for cracked pepper, they don't offer it with the meal. I will be coming back here regularly with a book in my hand!

A beautiful little surprise hidden in the picturesque Queensland countryside ready to please every traveller with a refreshing drink and a delicious meal.

After being to a few Coffee Clubs before, I'd had a good experience previously, but after going to…read morethe one at Dalby, I'll never go back again. Service was slow, and meals took a long time to come out for a simple order. This, however was not the worse part. I ordered 3 poached eggs on toast, and after the long wait, they came out hard as a rock, totally full boiled. I took my plate back and said that I didn't want the meal replaced. After being looked at and questioned as if I was the one that done something wrong, I sat back down with my wife who was having her breakfast. The Manager came up and asked why I didn't want the meal replaced, and what was wrong with it. I explained at that point I just didn't want anything, especially if I had to wait again. I explained that the eggs were overcooked, which isn't how I wanted them. I was then told "well you should have asked for them to be runny". I explained to the Manager that In all the cafes I've ever been to, runny poached eggs is what you get by default and that I've never been presented eggs like this (even at other coffee clubs). The Manager then continues to argue the point and say it's a regular occurance for people to ask for hard eggs, and that I really did need to preference the way I wanted them. So after this exchange, we finished up and left. They did apologise, but the argumentative discussion and the general treatment was enough to put me off. My wife's meal was fine though. Off to find a real cafe next time.
