You know you're onto something good when with your first taste you're transported back to a time…read morelong ago, when you were 5 and with your Dad... Firstly, I want to talk about clean. The floors are so clean I would eat off them. Every surface is clean, the staff wear hairnets and gloves and this is so refreshing compared to other places in this area! They have an amazing range of both sweet and savory and very good prices. A great range of freshly baked bread and for Easter hot cross buns bigger than your hand!! The sausage roll was home made, fresh, tasty, not filled with fillers. I could taste the meat and it is not too heavily spiced that it tastes salty. The pastry was flaky, but not especially so that I ended up with more on me than in my mouth!!! The bee sting was fresh, real cream and custard. OMG.... this was just pure food pleasure!!! Not so sweet that you feel overwhelmed, and the pastry had just the right amount of resistance to not be tough, but not fall apart at the first bite either. The jam donut was like how grandad used to make at his bakery. The jam was sticky, sweet, but also tart. It is made with fresh fruit as there are still a few seeds in it, so not overly processed or over sugared!! The pastry part was soft, and delicious and left me wanting more!! We got a mocha and it was well made and delicious, served in a mug, just the way we like it!!! My malted milk was the sip that took me back to a 5yo child. I was on the jetty at Redcliffe with my Dad who has been passed for 10 years now, and we are drinking malted milks. Any food that can illicit such a vivid and special memory is amazing and rare. Thank you for this memory. We will be back!!

Great location. Good hours. Great food. But on the pricier side…read more I usually come here for breakfast/brunch on my days off. Great food selection. Highly recommend the kiwi smoothie. It's sweet and tart unique flavor combination. The French toast is also really good. But around 16$ for two slices. Location is convenient because it's in the mall so plenty of parking and is open whenever the mall is open. So day after Boxing Day it's already back open. The place can get pretty busy so expect to wait a good while for your food. I think we waited about 30min for the first dish to show up on their lunch rush. Overall great option in kingaroy for breakfast/ brunch/ lunch spot.
Amazing gem amidst a vast desert farmland…read more This chateau looking restaurant has a classy ambience. Great creative food that is delicious. Ample parking and good service. The location is in booie which is far from any competition. During the day the restaurant would be great for some photos in front of the restaurant. Food: we ordered a variety of stuff and had no disappointments. The entree zuchini flower was a standout. Creative and beautifully presented. Savory prawn inside the flower. Main courses have all been good the pork, the kangaroo, the salmon and the chicken. Not a single complain. Kangaroo was perhaps the least flavorful but it was the best prepared kangaroo I've had in Australia. Pork main was my favorite. Mash potatoes sides was good too. Dessert was a bit smaller than expected especially for the price but was present well and had creative sauce that I was not expecting. Especially the orange sauce was powerfully tangy. The hazelnut parfait was my favorite part of the dessert but it was less than a spoon ful in size. But I suppose a chef succeeds if he/she leaves you wanting more. Menu lacks description and lacks picture. But that's why the world has Yelp! Ambience is higher end. So please be respectful with your volume and come with shoes on. Price is higher end. We had 4 people eating bill came out to be around 200$. About 30$ for a main course and 15$ for an appetizer. 15$ for dessert too.

Also has recently been refurbished so the decor is really nice. Only problems is that sometimes it can take a while to get your coffee, but that's the country for you. Also they are closed on Sunday and close up at 1pm on Saturday which is annoying. They have happy hour every now and then, coffee and cake for five bucks which is good.

Nestled into bush land, you can hear the bird life surrounding this picturesque spot. The staff are warm and cordial, greeting you and getting you set up with your favorite drinks on arrival. The coffee is a wonderful blend that not only smells amazing, tastes wonderful on the palate and is never bitter! The tea is served in a pot and is full flavoured, and there are many choices. The menu is a good size and children are catered for. We chose different varieties of the Eggs Benedict. The holandaise sauce is made fresh for each order and is one of the best I've ever tasted! The bread is fresh, and crusty enough to not so soggy, but not hard or dry. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and not a hint of vinegar on them! The spinach is fresh, well washed and tasty. The salsa made fresh and just wonderful in texture and flavour! The chorizo is spicy!! Not that weak salty version, it's delicious! And the bacon.... OMG! This is one of the best candied bacon I've ever had, including a trip through the United States! The prices are more than fair. You get what you pay for. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and professional. The range is good for such a small business and everything is cooked with love and care. I would highly recommend.
