Can I give them a minus ? because my college age student, had to file bankruptcy, she put my name…read moredown as a co-signer. they came after me a disabled forced to retire person after numerious back operations. they expected me to pay even though they probably rented the apartment once her bankrupcy cleared. being on social security they could not get my money or collect their like 15000 rent. Now it is on my credit report as not paying.

Living here has been an absolute nightmare. I would like to first start off with the fact that my…read moreroommate killed herself while living here. While this is not Campus Pointe's fault, they expected me to clean out her room which was filled with blood, urine, feces, and other disgusting things I would not like to relive. After having to call them multiple times, along with my mother having to call them as well, they finally sent a cleaning service after trying to force me to clean it myself. Mind you, this room is not under my lease agreement, and it is not my responsibility to clean out another person's room. Fast forward to recently, I have expressed concerns for my physical well-being writhing my own apartment due to my roommates threatening my safety, as well as filing a complaint about my apartment being 60° indoors, while it is snowing, and my roommates not allowing me to turn on the heat, yelling at me and cussing me out if I did. After filing this complaint, I instead got told absolutely nothing on how to solve this issue, and instead of stuck with a $300 "Illegal Pet Fee" for my Emotional Support Animal that I have residing in this apartment. Campus pointe has also jacked up prices to upwards of $1000 a month for students living here with 3 other roommates, 4 in total. Their maintenance crew also barges into apartments unannounced if no one answers the door, and even goes so far as to unlock people's doors to their rooms if they are locked, entering rooms without permission. Do NOT stay here. Campus Pointe does not care for you, your belongings, your money, or your physical safety.

I lived here for a year…read more Pros: Furnished, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances. Cons: -My washing machine broke, and it took a month and a half to get a replacement. Even after putting in multiple maintenance requests and calling the office directly, the replacement was also broken, but this time, the dryer was broken, which took another week to replace. - They told me that holes in the walls are fine and are preferred to command strips, and there would be no extra charge after moving out. Then during move-out, I asked again and got the same answer. Conveniently for them, after I patched the holes with the materials given to me by the office, I was charged for the patches. - My blinds were broken when I got there, and I proceeded to call maintenance, and in turn, they did not fix it and just put the equivalent of a twist tie on the blinds. They broke the same day, and the one time I used them. - The walls are paper-thin; not just in your own apartment, but through the complex. There was a resident who blasted music around 9-10 am all the way through 11 pm-12 am. I mentioned it to the office, and they said it was a unit upstairs, down my hall, and all the way around the corner from my apartment. - My deposit was two months' rent because I did not have a cosigner. That's not the problem. When I moved out, my deposit didn't hit my account. I called the office, and they did not know why and told me they would give me a call back. I called again, but they declined my call. I called the next day, and they had no idea what was wrong. I called 3 more times to finally get an employee to tell me what was wrong and to find a solution. - The internet, which you/I pay for every month, proceeded to go out almost half the entire year that I lived there. This also conveniently happened during finals and midterms. - Parking is an absolute disaster as well. If you want to have anyone over during the week and they are only able to park there due to the limited parking around the area, you have to sign out a guest pass. You are only able to sign out 1 guest pass at a time and are told to ask your roommates to get another pass if you have another person coming over. If you do not get them a pass, a towing service will tow their car. Additionally, if you do not return the pass to the office, you will be charged $25 a day. I hope this convinces you not to rent here. Have a good day.

The floor turned my feet black within ten minutes after we moved in. It was filthy. The carpet was clearly not cleaned before we moved in, broken blinds and a hole in the ceiling. He will tell you that if you clean the place and do the minor repairs etc you will get your deposit back, but in the state of Ohio he doesn't need to show receipts for anything he used your deposit for so he will rip you off.

The electricity that he will try to put in your name is connected to the garage where he stores his crap. Its also connected to the outside safety lights. He will not inform you and he will then use electricity his tenants are paying for without notifying them. The top breaker in the box turns it off, flip it. In apartment C there are holes in the ceiling, water damage and leaking EVERYWHERE. The electricity inside of the apartment will surge out anything plugged into it. The oven provided to me as in accordance to the lease was dangerous and a hazard and it was never replaced. The doors do not fit into the door jams in the least and bugs and cold/hot air comes in freely. If you try to use the three inches of front yard he will yell at you. If his mother shows up, HIDE! She will lie to her son and say you gave her attitude and he will tell you you can go ahead and get out. Take pictures when you leave! Shane did not replace the carpet when we moved in as we had an agreement not to. We told him since we have kids there would be no point, and he stated he would just replace it when we left. It Was damaged with loose strings that would catch in my vacuum, cut out holes, and staining when I moved in. This man is trying to charge me over $1000 to replace a carpet he claims my family damaged after making an agreement with us to not do just that. He also will claim to have the property "cleaned" after you leave, with a running cost of 90$ per hour for 9 hours. The company cleaning? Shrewsberry LLC. HIS MOTHER CLEANS IT! None of this is even to mention allowing people with warrants to hide in the property, attack other tenants, and use the property to slam on the walls and harass tenants. I pressed charges and there are court documents to prove this. The little over a year I spent renting from this man was one of the worst experiences of my life. If you value your peace, time, sanity, and money go literally anywhere else.

The RA was not helpful, it continued. Spoke with the head of the department and was treated like a complainer and not taken seriously. I personally had to go in person and speak with the roommate and was treated like the problem, when I had written proof of the bullying etc. It was my daughter's first college experience and I felt like the school failed. My daughter also is a minority student and I felt like it could have also been a reason for the lack of action and poor treatment. I eventually had to PAY for another room so she could be at peace. When she wasn't the problem! It is a beautiful campus but feels like it falls short of making minority students feel welcome. I witnessed students writing racial slurs on white boards on campus, " Jews can die", etc and profanity. Not a good look for a school to allow things like this to happen. Beware if you are a minority student, it doesn't treat you well.

Dating back to 1910, it's grown and grown to the point that it's now the third-largest university in Ohio. And of course, it's infamously known as the site where the May 4 shootings took place where the National Guard fired on students assembled and protesting in opposition to the US involvement in the Vietnam War. There is a huge memorial and of course, the Center for Applied Conflict Management that was founded after those events. [Review 1362 of 2024 - 281 in Ohio - 22385 overall]
