Before I finished my Graphic Design degree, I had to complete an exhibition that was really…read moreimportant to display my work and gain contacts from possible employers. As usual I was running a little behind schedule to print the final part of my exhibition. Two days before it was due I decided to try Rocket Print for this final part. It wasn't a huge amount of printing just 15 postcard sized designs onto heavy card stock so I assumed it could be done in a few hours. In short I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here. I was told the job would be done very quickly so I may as well just hang around the Newmarket area. After about two hours I went back only to find my job wasn't completed and they said they were having 'issues' with their printer and to come back in half an hour. I did this and again my printing wasn't finished. I was told that they should definitely be done by the next day and I would receive a call, it was now getting very close to my due date! When they were finally ready to be picked up the next day I received the bill and it was something like $70 for the few pages. I disputed this price and they realised they had made a 'mistake', if I hadn't said anything they would have happily taken that much money from me. In the end it came to around $50 and the printing was really nice quality but I didn't enjoy being mucked around and being taken for a fool if they believed I would accept their original bill, not happy!

Copy Solutions is a chain with several locations over Auckland. I can't speak for any of the…read moreothers, but I would particularly like to recommend the Newton branch. The reason for this is the staff. Like most copy places, the Newton Copy Solutions does photocopying, colour printing, large scale printing, some binding and finishing, and graphic design. So far, so generic. I think the quality of their printing is quite good (and, for the price, very good), but there are other places around Auckland you could get a similar result. But what sets this place apart is the staff. I've dealt with several of them over the last few years, and each of them has been friendly, attentive and helpful. And best of all, they know their stuff. I can ask them difficult questions about print quality or binding techniques (I'm a graphic designer, so I'm full of difficult questions) and not only do they know what I'm talking about, but they have a helpful answer, and will suggest different ways of doing things that will work out cheaper or faster. This is my go-to place for small scale printing.

I had a banner already made but shipping was delayed so this was my best option. After calling 3 other places, Snap printing delivered and accommodated my needs. Will be my go to place for printing. Thank you!

I found these guys after a quick search when I needed some posters printed for an event pronto. They were super easy to deal with. The only slight mark against their name is that they said they'd email me the itemised receipt and I'm still waiting.... just as well it was so cheap! What's an unclaimed $3 riiight?!
