The post below isn't true, there is evidence on camera to prove that fact. A girl was changing in the bathroom but was never touched or sexually assaulted, and if this was the case her boyfriend should have saved her and taken her home, but he stole her car and left her there and smashed her windshield instead. The phone call never happened because she never talked to him over the phone since the incident occurred, texts were exchanged where he started trying to convince her she was so intoxicated that she had left her vehicle at his roommates house to cover up the fact that he abandoned her and stole the vehicle. My subscription started 7 weeks ago..7 weeks..7 Sunday papers right? NOPE! I've been lucky enough to receive a total of two! I have called and emailed every time it was missed. I have never been so disgusted with a newspaper company. We have had a subscription with the Press Enterprise for nearly 2 years. For the last several months our Sunday paper has not been delivered unless I call them. When I called this past Sunday, they said that I would have my paper within 90 minutes (same story each time). I told them "not good enough" and I was told that a manager named Debbie would call me back. Haven't heard a word from them. They contract with independent distribution companies who in turn use carriers who they "contract" with. The distributors don't seem to care about the problems and neither does the Press Enterprise. read more

I guess these Yelp reviews say it all.. I had newspaper service about 2 years ago for Sunday delivery only and cancelled after about 6months because they continuously delivered L.A. Times and I was supposed to be getting The Press. Since I do enjoy reading the newspaper I was interested when I saw that they had a deal through Groupon. I was hesitant but I went ahead and signed up. I signed up the beginning of May and now we are half way through July and I haven't received one newspaper. I have called customer service multiple times and it's so frustrating especially when you're in hold for like 15 minutes before someone even picks up. I was so fed up I reported them to the BBB , I have yet to hear their response for that either. I have had a subscription for over a year and a half now for the Sunday newspaper. I have had excellent service up until November of 2017. For some reason, even after numerous calls and assurances from the service representatives, I can not get a Sunday paper delivered. I have been calling but can never get a person on Sunday because they are closed. When I call during the week someone will deliver a Sunday newspaper (sometimes 2) on Monday or Tuesday. Why can't I get a paper on Sunday? This is very frustrating. I recommend subscribing to the Times or Sun because obviously the Press Enterprise could care less if you get your paper or not. read more

Of all the days to not deliver a paper- we didn't get a Thanksgiving Day newspaper. The phone system is broken & doesn't recognize any numbers punched in. We've been fortunate with our delivery until now- but on the most important newspaper of the year (in the newspaper business) they don't deliver it. All of our hard work- ads and inserts for Black Friday - and it doesn't get to the subscribers. The advertisers should get a refund for the money they paid. **UPDATE** They made it good after all. I have trying to cancel my account since 7/8/15...over a month. Daily I talk to customer serve workers and supervisors. There is always the same script. Lots of "I'm sorry", and "I have just taken care of it". I have written several e-mails, not only to customer service but to a couple of reporters, Letters to the Editor and Tom Bray, Managing Editor. Every day, that paper is cluttering up my driveway. Even if you chat with someone the morning it was missed and they promise you the paper within 69 minutes (yes that is what they always say) you still won't get your paper. They are HORRIBLE! I originally bought a subscription to help a young man out with a fundraiser that came to my door. I didn't want the paper, just wanted to help him. When my subscription was up, I called and cancelled it. I never received a receipt because they had the wrong email address. NOW they are sending me bills saying I owe them money for my renewal. I called and explained I already cancelled and both ladies I talked to told me I owed and never called to cancel. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, she told me the wait was long and they don't issue refunds anyways and wouldn't transfer me. Their delivery service is non existent even on existing accounts. You can never get anyone on the phone and rarely get a reply to an email. The Register uses the same people for delivery because they are just as bad. Its route dependent. When I lived in an apartment, it was good, when I bought my home, the service was horrendous. Don't bother. They can get it right for about 6 months with about 80% of the papers delivered but if you make any changes, forget it. One of the things I liked best about Sunday mornings was relaxing with a cup of coffee and the Sunday paper. Now I'll just be having that cup of coffee. Like so many others, I don't know what's up with the Press and why delivery hasn't improved with this many complaints. We've been with the Press for many years and over the last couple it has gotten worse, too bad. Got to expect that only half of the deliveries were on time and after calls to customer service, sometimes several times, only half of those were ever delivered. This past Sunday became the end of our relationship. After not receiving paper, call automated customer service at 8 a.m. At 10:30 called again and talked to a customer service rep. "We're sorry sir. We'll have that out to you asap." Monday morning, no paper. Called and canceled subscription. Not worth the hassle of calling and checking throughout the day to see if ever got paper. Delivery service is horrible! For two months complained due to late papers or not at all. Same distributor for my other paper I take as well. Constant calls but no results, they don't care. Owner of distributor for Press Enterprise came to my door and said they had numerous complaints about carrier in my area but he STILL is delivering and it's STILL late or not at all. This sucks! I have been a subscriber for most of the last 30 years. The last two years or so, delivery has gone down hill. In the last 25 days, I have only received 15 papers. I asked for a refund (I'm paid until January, 2019) last month, and was told my only options were to donate the remainder of my papers, or just cancel with no refund. Does anybody honor their commitments anymore. I'm so disgusted with this. I am in my 60's and handicapped, and have to make my way to the driveway multiple times to see if the paper is there most days. When the paper does come, it could be before 6 a.m., or it may be close to 10 a.m. or anywhere in between if it comes at all. I have NEVER received a replacement paper after requesting one on time, whether on their website or by phone. Is this the SWAN SONG for the Press Enterprise? The Press Enterprise has the worst service and they do not care for their customers. You call customer service and they tell you your paper will be delivered in 90 minutes and it never arrives. Today I called 4 times and they told me I would receive my paper in 90 minutes and I never got it. I spoke to David the "supervisor" and he said that he would give me a call back in 60 minutes. 2 hours went by and I called again and was told that he went out for lunch. I probably will not get a call back and will not get my paper. Whatever you do DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO PRESS ENTERPRISE. If you advertise in this newspaper you are wasting your money. I signed up for the newspaper in late 2014. They gave me a special rate and told me that I would be informed when the rate was increased. Well, the rate increased and I was not informed. When my account was charged a third time I caught it right away and cancelled the paper. For one paper delivered they kept $6.00 out from the amount refunded. I have had it with the Press Enterprise Sunday delivery. They deliver the paper with their Boom Box blaring. This morning they stopped right in front of my house and stayed there for 10 minutes taking papers out of their trunk and putting them inside the car. They awakened my wife who is very ill in Hospice and she finally fell asleep just a couple of hours before. This b.s. happens every Sunday and some week days. PE has the worst customer care ever! Why does it take so many calls to them (six to be exact) to try to get them to stop delivery to an old address. Terrible delivery and customer service. Don't bother calling customer service, they have no control over delivery at all. I have missed 6 deliveries in the past year, that's bad, but not terrible. What's terrible is that each time I called about the missed delivery, I was promised a re-delivery within 90 minutes. Not once did I receive a redelivery. Also, the delivery service seems to have no communication at all with the customer service department. On two occasions, I had to contact the publisher directly via phone and e-mail in order to get my newspaper delivered. I won't be renewing this time. Ironically, I have tipped the carrier each time I renewed my subscription. I like reading the newspaper a lot, but it is so frustrating to wake up and have no paper for days at a time and having to spend a lot of time trying the get it straightened out. read more
