    I called for assistance for my washer due to it stopping at the rinse cycle and not draining. I had…read morea repair man from General Appliance come and tell me he had no time for this and said he did not think I was right with my details. He said he was going to go to another call and he would then come back. I ran the washer and sure enough it was as I said.. stopped and would not drain. He came back and said, Oh you were right and pulled it out and was looking in the back. I mentioned that I felt it may be the timing and he smirked and kept at the back of it. He then came to me and said it was the control board and he wanted to be paid before he left to see about the part. I thought that was odd as I have had service from General Appliance before and this was not the normal practice. I did give him my visa and he questioned was it a prepaid card. It was a banking visa and I was very insulted. He then wrote down the number on the invoice and left. Five minutes later called me and stated that there were no parts available and he hung up. I was shocked.. Obviously he slighted me and screwed me over. Was it due to I was a woman, or that he was just a terrible employee? I was beside myself and let it go, which I definitely should not have done for the sake of anyone else that calls this company. It gets better..... A month later I get my visa statement and it has the same charge of 108.48. I took my visa statement to General Appliance and the worker there asked, "Didn't you just get something done?" I said NO! This this now fraud!!! I explained the situation and the interaction of the worker on the day he was at my home and he said, "Oh yes he's an ass hole, nobody likes him. I was floored! So this warrants to rob me twice??? He gave me my money back and kept apologizing. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!!

    To Whom It May Concern…read more We recently purchased furniture from your company, and had a really unfortunate experience. We were supposed to have our mattress and stand delivered. There was issues with the paperwork drawn up by Dufresne which ended up with not only preventing our mattress to be delivered, but the delivery people had an argument with my partner who had taken the day off work to be home for the delivery. When I called the store, they told me since our salesperson wasn't in that day, there was really nothing they could do as he was the one to write up the paperwork incorrectly. When I asked to have the person converse with their manager about it, they said they'd call me back but after an hour of waiting I drove down to the store myself. It was then determined that the stand was never on the truck in the first place, and it was suggested I use my current box spring until the once I purchased arrived. My box spring and new mattress aren't even the same size. When I brought the issues up by email with our salesman, he basically said there was nothing he could do and to contact customer care. When I inquired on the website chat, the person said they couldn't help and asked me to call in and speak to somewhere. I asked if there was an email address as I prefer email communication and was told there was indeed an email address but it would never be checked or responded to. Then why have the email address in the first place? We were then spoke to customer care and were offered a $40 credit. We stated that would be insufficient at which time we were told they'd have to get approval from a manager and would call us back. More than 12 days later we called and the person on the phone expressed surprise as there was a note on file that an offer was left on our voicemail and we never responded. We never received such voicemail. We were offered $140, but had requested a new pillow. The person on the phone suggested we contact our local store to see if they'd be able to give us a pillow at that price. We reached out, and have yet again been ignored. We're losing our patience at this point. We chose Dufresne for your reputation and unfortunately are sorrily disappointed. It's as if as soon as you got our money, we no longer mattered. Please contact me as soon as possible to resolve this issue. Thank you, I went on your website and sent this exact complaint word for word to the complaint email. I even got a email from you acknowledging you received my complained, that was Nov 23rd at 16:04 I then posted this exact comment yesterday on a different Dufresne page.They deleted my comment and gave me no reply at all! So the employee who caused the issues ignored my email, the official website ignored a complaint email and now an official Facebook page has deleted and ignored a complaint I'm furious!

Sales rep, husband and myself completely looked it over even pulled it out "great!!! "Looks good no dents all seemed wonderful, we'll take it! So off we go to pay - sales rep was happy we were happy she had even commented no dents in great condition right guys you will be happy!!!! It arrives at my home .... Excitedly commenting to the delivery men be careful guys don't put any dents in it, extremely nice guys by the way. All went well until they were about to leave, there it was a clear and visible dent now keep in mind this dent would have been noticed by the sales rep, my husband and me. Called sales rep she said she'd forward to customer care and even then said noted we did not see any dent when we looked it over we even pulled it out ... The next day the customer care rep called said the warehouse manager says it was there .. so that's that, as she's continuously repeating this sale is as is .... My idea of "as is" is what condition it s in at the time of purchase!!!! Then it was in great shape This customer care rep couldn't even be bothered to set me at ease I continued to let her know I wasn't out shopping for a better deal just some accountability.... Through this whole conversation if u can visualize someone smacking chewing gum and literally feeling her eyeballs rolling back and forth not saying this actually happened but it is what she left this client feeling like .... Conclusion .... The fridgidare professional range has been bought elsewhere as well as a beautiful dining table a hutch Store credit card paid and put into fireplace ... This furniture store customer care policies definitely are not in favour of clients Keep in Mind the sales rep was wonderful and worked hard to ensure our needs were met it's a shame it stopped at their customer care Don't want to give a star but if I have to I'm giving it to the sales rep she was honest and kind

    Ordered a TV online on Saturday noting it was in stock and could be delivered on Monday. On Sunday,…read moreI received a call from the store indicating that the delivery was confirmed for Monday, but that I would receive a text later in the day confirm the delivery time block. I did not. I take the day off on Monday as I'm not sure when to expect the delivery. Monday morning arrives, and nothing. I call the store, but cannot get through to anyone - any options directs me back to visit the website. I message an online agent and they confirm there is a delivery today but cannot tell the time - they say they will call the store to have someone call me back asap - no one does. I finally get through at 2pm and they tell me that this is my fault, they had not promised delivery today, and that they will do me "a favour" by having it delivered between 6-9pm tonight, and that I should be happy because "they never get it out this quickly". I asked to speak to the manager to compensate for the troubles that I endured and she kept interrupting me, telling me when I was "allowed to talk" and told me there is nothing she can do. I will never shop there again and will ensure that I tell everyone I know. Thunder Bay store sucks!
