I was looking for bottles of Stout by Winnipeg brewery Half Pint and the clerk led me to the aisle, then turned over a case and show me the map and hours for the weekly brewery tour (Saturdays at 1pm no reservations needed). How is that for service! Even with all the taxes some of the prices were less than I paid in Seattle for the same Canadian products. Otherwise, the store was clean, well lit, well organized and well stocked. Other states and provinces could learn a lot from how they do it on the corner of Osborne and River.

Help! I came away with three delightful wines, (new to me) in a decent price range, and had great fun with a charming and gracious clerk. Sorry to have forgotten his name! Well worth a stop here, to pick up hostess gifts or for a good picnic wine in the summer!

We were sat in a comfortable u-shaped booth. I didn't realize the upstairs had a bar & seating as well, until I went up to use the restroom. Our server was so nice & friendly - I wished I could remember her name for this review. I noticed that other staff also seemed to do well with other customers too. Our food included nachos, perogies, quesadilla and BBQ rice bowl. All good. Great drinks too, including the Happy Hour Sassy Sangria which has a touch of Fireball to give it some kick.

There is plenty of room in the restaurant and was pretty full but wasn't too loud and didn't require a reservation. I was sat right away with a great server who didn't mind that I came in alone. I got pizza that was incredibly good especially in the cold weather. I enjoyed my time at Tavern on King Edward and would come back again.
