The Poppy Studio - Beautiful arrangement!! - Florists Near Me

I do not recommend this flower shop. This company makes a new account whenever they've disappointed too many customers with their poor customer service. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. While a staff member was bringing a flower wreath to my car, it was dropped onto the concrete with all the flowers being crushed against the concrete. Considering this wreath was for a mother's funeral, the situation was especially upsetting. What hurt most was that no one apologized. Instead, I was simply told, "Oh, we can fix this, it won't take long." At the time, I was overwhelmed with grief and not in a position to argue, so I trusted that the damaged flowers would be properly replaced. Unfortunately, the staff only added a few cut flowers into the wreath rather than fully repairing the damage. The result was a wreath with crushed and bruised flowers, which was embarrassing and shameful to bring to the funeral. I was also surprised that after damaging the arrangement, the staff began giving me instructions on how to care for the flowers, yet still offered no apology or compensation for what had happened. As I was leaving, one of the employees ran outside to inspect the flower stand and then attempted to blame the incident on the stand's hook. This was particularly frustrating because the stand had been provided by the florist along with the wreath. Rather than taking responsibility, the staff seemed focused on shifting blame. The entire pickup process felt inconsiderate and lacked compassion during an already difficult time. Given the circumstances, I expected much greater care, professionalism, and sensitivity toward both me as the customer and the memory of a deceased mother. read more

Jenny was absolutely incredible to work with! The flowers for my wedding were exactly what I envisioned from my Pinterest board. She went above and beyond to make my reception space look amazing- she even added extra flowers to the centerpieces and candles to the sweetheart table even though it wasn't in the contract. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a florist! Her prices are fair and she has an amazing eye! read more

If you're dreaming of flowers that feel like they stepped out of your Pinterest boardandyour wildest imagination at once, then you need to hire Jenny at The Poppy Studio. From the very first consult, Jenny listened intently to every whim and photo inspo, then came back with ideas that somehow elevated everything I'd pictured. On each event day (I had 3), walking into the venue and seeing her work took my breath away: lush, airy arrangements bursting with seasonal blooms, a show‑stopping stage setup that looked like it came from the stars, and perfect centerpieces that tied the entire room together. Beyond her artistry, Jenny is a joy to work with! She's punctual, transparent, and calm under pressure (even when a last‑minute venue change occurred that threw us for a loop). She coordinated seamlessly with our planner and made sure our vision was captured. Thank you Jenny!! read more

I could not be happier about our wedding florals and decorations! After speaking to Jenny on the phone, I shared my pinterest board inspo with her, and she absolutely nailed it. It was exactly what I was envisioning for our wedding! It was colorful and playful, while still remaining elegant and beautiful. People could not stop talking about how much they loved the flowers and overall decor. We will continue to recommend the Poppy Studio again and again! read more

Jenny surpassed our expectations for our wedding this past Saturday in all ways possible. When I first reached out to her regarding our wedding decor and rentals, she was very responsive and willing to send an invoice proposal - altering it as needed to help get it in line with our budget. She also took the initiative to reach out to other vendors to bring down some of the rental costs for linens, chairs, etc. I gave Jenny a few inspo pics and she completely blew it out of the water with the florals and decor. When I say that Jenny hit the ball out of the park with my vision for our wedding, that would be a complete understatement. Jenny is straightforward and easy to work with, and once we signed our final contract, we had little need to speak with her because we knew she would have everything handled (and she was already in communication with our amazing coordinator, Events by Tejal). I cannot wait to come back to update this review once we photos back. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Jenny! We will be sure to recommend all our family and friends to her business. read more

Jennifer did my flowers for my wedding this past Saturday! She completely exceeded my expectations and delivered the most beautiful & fresh flower arrangements. Personally I didn't have a big budget for florals, but Jennifer was super accommodating and the florals were beyond my expectations. Highly highly recommend. My wedding planner (The Marigold company) referred Jenny to me for my wedding decor. Jenny handled the entire decor and flowers for both my events (wedding and pre-event) and everything was exactly like I had envisioned. She delivered everything that I asked for in terms of decor for both my events. Our wedding involved 2 ceremonies - traditional Hindu ceremony and western American ceremony, so I wanted to keep the decor for the two ceremonies a little different yet I wanted them to still tie together. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful. The decor for the Sangeet night was also beautiful and different from the wedding day decor. I can't wait to hire Jenny again for my future events. read more

Jenny was hands down my fav vendor from our wedding! She helped come up with a proposal that fit our budget and executed it to perfection. Our stage decor was minimal but vibrant. Our photos came out looking so epic. In fact, our guests even pointed out that the decor was outstanding. Considering we had a very traditional Indian wedding at the Malibu Hindu temple, I was wary of hiring a non-Indian vendor but Jenny set up our venue so aesthetically and took into consideration every finesse of a South Indian wedding. She was very easy to communicate with and gave very realistic expectations that she then met with ease. Thank you so much Jenny! read more

I have been lucky enough to know Jenny's work from over 10 years ago and so when we were recommended her to use for our wedding celebrations, I knew it was the best idea! From the couple events I have known Jenny to do previously, she has always put in 101% so I knew this was an easy decision and it truly was one of the best! She definitely came through and put our vision to LIFE! We hired her for our pre-events the day before and the day of wedding/reception. She was extremely professional, timely, friendly, and the passion she has for her work is so evident! She worked within our budget and once she had a good idea of the feels we were going for and our vision board, she hit it out of the park with bringing our dream wedding to life! Thank you so much, Jenny!!! 10/10 recommended. read more

Unprofessional. I wanted to learn more about their services and get more info but I was met with a rude response. She was in a hurry and impatient, which I can understand, but there was no need to be unkind. read more

Upon getting engaged to my partner-in-crime during the holiday season of 2011, I initially chose to forgo the traditional floral projects that go hand-in-hand with weddings. I'm not your typical girly-girl (my now-husband knows he'll earn more points picking up a succulent or a funky air plant on special occasions versus a dozen long-stem roses). I thought that all I really needed was a few bouquets of dried lavender, potted succulents for our guests as favors, and we could call it a day. But as the date drew nearer, an incredibly crafty girlfriend of mine, Becky Anderson, and her sweetheart of a business partner, Jenny Brayer, announced that they were embarking on their own new life adventure: The Poppy Studio. The ladies held my hand during the final walk-through of our venue, taking note of things I never would have noticed on my own, choosing places they knew would really come alive with floral accents. One simple sit-down meeting later, and me, the girl who had refused floral arrangements up-and-down, was hooked. And thus, our wedding became the first on their journey, though you never would have guessed it peering at the storybook floral pieces they crafted for us. I've never seen (nor do I think I will ever see again) magic bursting from bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and corsages quite the way it did that day. The only vision I had had in my head was a shabby-chic, rustic, ranch wedding ( hopefully incorporating the cruelty-free feathers I had been collecting for months). But the result was astounding: garden roses, ranunculus, dusty miller, fever few, thistle, succulents, cruelty-free feathers, lavender... bright bursts of color mingling with neutral tones. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out our photographer's blog so you can see The Poppy Studio's work in action: http://tylerbranchphoto.com/2013/02/andy-anja-the-ranch-at-bandy-canyon-wedding/ I am forever in debt to these darling, darling women. I would recommend them to anyone, any day. read more

We recently hired Becky and Jenny to take care of the flowers for our wedding. They provided us with great ideas and some help because we were unsure about what we wanted for the venue. We told them some of the things we liked and some of the ones we wanted included (mini cacti) and used those ideas to create beautiful center pieces. We also told them what we liked and what not and they were able to create a beautiful bridal bouquet and flowers for all individuals participating in the ceremony. They were early dropping off the flowers and the set up for at the venue was also smooth. Although we did not give them much direction they were able to bring our ideas to life with the flowers. The only thing that did not make this the perfect experience is that sometimes they took a little longer to respond to emails. read more

I heart Poppy Studio. They really did a wonderful job on my wedding day...as I wasn't totally certain on exactly what I wanted. I had to figure out colors through pintrest and when I did...I let them know and they ended up making the most beautiful bouquets. I loved their creative direction and trusted them completely. I even recommended them to my friend who needed flowers for a baby shower and she loved them as well. My now husband got me an anti Valentine's day arrangement from them and though it's wilted and a bit dried up since we're in March...they are still sitting on the bar cart and I have to smile. Poppy Studio listens and executes. I would recommend them to anyone for any occasion! read more

I was happy to be a groomsman at one of my best friends wedding and got to wear one of the coolest boutineers I've ever seen. Rather then the traditional single flower my boutineer was an amazing naturally hued purple/blue/green artichoke or thistle flower top with a splash of muted tiny flowers and greens. It matched my partners dress perfectly....you could tell much creative skill was put into matching the entire wedding party in both color and personality - plus the combination of unique flowers and colors was a perfect understated and elegant compliment to a wonderful ceremony Both my friends photographer and florists were so good that I had to get business cards...and I don't plan on getting married! read more

he Poppy Studio provided all the florals for my daughter's wedding in Malibu CA. We initially found them on Craig's List and were a bit nervous that they were new in the business. They didn't have any reviews but after talking to them, they sounded like they understood what we were looking for. They were prompt with responses to messages and were anxious for the work. With a leap of faith, we hired them to do this component of the wedding. The flowers were almost the most important thing to my daughter and I . I will start by saying that Jenny and Becky aren't warm and fuzzy, they are business like and direct. This threw me a little as I am a people person and enjoy establishing a warm rapport with people I interact with. Do not let this deter you, their work is awesome, that's just their style, Just as a a frame of reference for everyone reading this, our budget was $4,000 for flowers. We had 18 tables with large wooden boxes full of flowers plus footed crystal containers with arrangements, a gorgeous sweetheart swag, bridal bouquet ,personals for 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, 2 small bouquets for the moms, a few small arrangements for the cocktail tables, and flowers in antique bottles. You can see them all here. http://www.driverphotobl... No words needed to describe how breathtaking these flowers were. We were so thrilled to walk out the door and see the impact they made on the venue. We were at the venue all morning and watched the transformation. The "girls " delivered and stayed until all the tables were set and the perfect look was achieved. Even the homeowner was in awe of the flowers, she said they were one of the most gorgeous displays she has seen. ( she sees at least two weddings a weekend in season) We so loved the florals that we couldn't let them go! We took a few succulents out of the arrangements and bouquets and brought them back to New Jersey with us. They are now potted and doing wonderfully, what a great way to remember the blessed day! PS.. make a pinterest board of everything you love, they used that as inspiration! Edit Remove read more

They did such an incredible job!! We gave them a color scheme and some ideas of our vision and the girls executed flawlessly! They cost about as much or a little less than the other florists I spoke with, but their work and arrangements were so much more elegant and creative. I was completely blown away by all of the flowers on my wedding day. These girls obliterated my expectations, and as soon as I saw the flowers for my big day, my eyes filled with tears. They were PERFECT. Jenny and Becky did an excellent job of picking up on my likes and dislikes, and came up with the most spectacular arrangements, boutineers, and bouquets. My flowers were unique and bold, and I even had them create 3 appliques for my dress that were easily attached. It made my dress one of a kind and added the perfect amount of color. There are no words to describe how extremely happy I am with The Poppy Studio. read more

These girls are amazing flower wizards. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was absolutely everything we could have ever imagined. They made the most beautiful arrangements, my bouquet was absolutely fabulous; they were careful to work with my budget and offer alternatives when needed but still made sure my vision was attained (surpassed actually). The creativity they have knows no boundaries and whether you are looking for something traditional or more inventive and unique, these two will blow you away! They come with my highest recommendations and we remain eternally grateful for all the hard work and effort they put into making our big day so beautiful! The fact that they're both amazing, down to earth, helpful, beautiful and understanding human beings helps too ;) read more
