The demo and waterline tile are done and it hasn't been too bad except they won't return our emails, they won't schedule the last phase and a project that was 5 weeks is who knows how long because they won't get us on the plaster schedule and right now we are told it is 2 months out and no way to schedule us for some reason. Weeks of asking to get scheduled with no response. I have included the owner in our communication as well so this isn't just about one person, this is clearly a company thing. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. Add to the fact that we don't have a pool they have left equipment etc here so I'm sitting on my lanai in a robe and at 6:45am my dog barks like crazy and it is the employees wanting to pick some stuff up. Has happened two of the last three days. The list goes on with all the frustrating things happening with this company. Did I mention food has been left out including a chicken bone we only discovered because our dog was trying to eat it?

I refused to pay the last installment due to inferior plaster work. I offered to pay once the job was really DONE! They balked but have since disregarded any further effort to fix. 50% labor went to another company leaving unqualified non-caring labor who shows up when their mgmt doesn't arbitrarily pull them off to another job. I've had 3 project managers in 7 months and the owner has no involvement but refers to the project manager. The ones I've had could care less about my issues as there appears to be much infighting. So far this started with not meeting the original design spec, not delivering aerators, pool bench returns are misaligned, step tiles were put down with oozing white mastic where the plaster will not adhere, deck drains into the pool that caused damage to the plaster after a rain during application leaving long white streaks in the bottom that can not be fixed, incorrect reporting pool equipment items for warranty leaving me to fix with no support, never did give me the salt water pool in contract nor showed me how to operate equipment, my list goes on and on. 1 star comments here I can attest are the same in my case as well. If you question anything here, I urge you to come see for yourselves. I've pix, emails, documentation to support what is said here. Litigation appears to be the last resort but don't expect they care. They talk a good line but then RUN AWAY from HAWAII POOLS! The picture attached is only a small example of their lack of quality/craftsmanship.

It was ruined in about a year by the new owner Lawrence Flitton. He screwed up numerous projects. I am personally aware of three projects he was contracted for and screwed each owner over. He is a scam artist. Clueless as to what he is doing. No communication of any kind. He took money and I have no idea what it was spent on but it wasn't the pool. When he put the business up for sale he even faked reviews on Google to make it look good. One of the owners he screwed over left a negative review. Then Lawrence made a fake review immediately after so it showed up higher than the negative review. A pool is supposed to be to make dreams come true and make great family memories. This has been nothing short of a nightmare for my family and me. It has truly been the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with in my life. Keep in mind, I lost everything I owned in the 2018 eruption and I would rather go through that ordeal another 100x then deal with this. It has been over a year and all I have is a very expensive hole in the yard with cement in it. The con artist known as Lawrence Flitton couldn't even get the contractor's license for the business. In order to sell it, he had to original owner get another license so he could attach it to the business, sell it and run. Lawrence found his mark in a couple by the name of Justin and Janice Wiberg. He sold them the business. The new owners were introduced as the "project manager". Then two days later they introduced themselves as the new owner. The new owners said all the right things for the first 2 to 3 weeks..."we have to get this finished, this has been going on far too long, you have been extremely patient, we are here to make this right, you were screwed over by Lawrence, this will be complete in 30 days", blah, blah, blah. It was all lip service. They did one step towards the completion of the pool and they did finally get most of the equipment over to me but not all of it. The one honest thing the new owners did do was approach Lawrence after I told them about the fake review. Then Lawrence removed the fake review from Google so they did do that. However, since then, they said we can't do anything more. We need to complete jobs that are paying then we can see what we can do. No timeline, no response, no anything after that. They are supposed to send updates out every Friday...nodda. They were supposed to call today to work something out...nodda. AVOID THIS COMPANY. You will regret it if you work with them. The only option I have now is to bring in the attorneys but as the saying goes, "I am not sure how you get blood out of a turnip". If the new owners actually do what they promised they would do I will update this review. As long as this review is here, then they are just another mainlander who came over to make their money, screw the people who are here when they realize they are in over their heads and run away. Just like Lawrence did. Please note, all the positive reviews on Google were before Lawrence Flitton took over the business. Sorry, I have no idea why my name shows as California. I have never lived in CA and I live and am a resident on the Big Island of Hawaii.

At this place kids can't be kids. They cannot laugh and have fun at the pool, especially if they have special needs like autism. The quiet hours are nice and our spot had a dedicated parking space as we weren't allowed to park in the garage as we saw with some other units. The property has a gate (safe), is well manicured, and is kept up (no peeling paint or run down buildings). Some downsides during our stay: construction around pool area, scheduled bug spraying in the unit, and other patrons parking in our space giving us nowhere else to park. Otherwise it was marvelous!
