This was our second visit to Poodle Puff, and once again they did an amazing job with our dog, Henry. He's a poodle-shih tzu mix and usually gets very nervous at groomers; he shakes the whole time. But not here. At Poodle Puff, he's completely at ease, almost like he's at home. Both times he's come out looking absolutely adorable, and you can tell they take great care with him. The staff is warm, gentle, and genuinely welcoming. The shop itself is clean, organized, and has a really comforting vibe. Overall, it's been a great experience from start to finish. So happy with their service. I have 14 year old bichon poodle and have been taking him to another place in Encino that did an amazing job but too over priced and a little further from me so I always tried looking for another spot and have tried a hand full of different spots and no one was able to master the cut that the one lady did for me in Encino and I was referred to this spot today and WOW! I mean his cut was just perfect and and his hair is not easy to cut it requires scissor cutting and it was just so even all around, blow dried to perfection and smelled amazing and I must add the girls were so nice and welcoming. I've been taking my dog to this groomer for more than 3 years while management was under Maggie. Maggie left and one of the previous groomers took over. They upped their price $10 so my usual $55 went to $65 and I didn't mind that. I pick up my dog today whose breed is a Corgi/MaltiPoo. My dog weighs no more than 30 pounds. They tried to charge me $87 dollars. The new management is obviously trying to overcharge due to the higher income neighborhood that the business is located in and this will be the very last time I bring my dog here. They are nice people but definitely taking advantage of the new management role and not catering to the customers that have been loyal to them for years like myself. read more

I took my dog in everything was great and when I picked her up she is bleeding tremendously I freaked out and ask her what happens and the lady at the front had the audacity to tell me she was already like that when she came in that when they showered her they notice it! Today I took my dog to the regular grooming, they gave her a huge cut on her middle thigh . When I picked her up , they gave her to me bleeding and they did not even have first aid kit for dogs to help control the situation. They acted like it was a normal thing for them and they charged me as usual without an apology. By the way my dog is a small breed toy poodle, how is very friendly with everybody . But tjey are so unprofessional that couldn't fix the 7 pound dog properly so she couldn't move. I do not recommend this place if you want your dog to struggle from pain and unprofessional behavior. Masterclass - in Poor Customer Service Magdalena is definitely not at the poodle puff anymore. It's evident by the poor customer service I received. I used to live 5 minutes from the shop and would take my two pups in every 3 months regularly. We moved about 45 minutes away but I still wanted to take them there because she was so good with them and they were comfortable with her. Our visits became every 4 or 5 months due to the trek getting there. When I booked my most recent appointment, the response came back "what kind of pups are they?". I Thought that was a little strange but figured it was because our visits were a little more infrequent. I reminded her she's seen them many many times before and will most certainly recognize them upon our arrival. They then booked the appointment. Coming from 45 minutes away, we were running about 15 minutes late. I texted to let them know (thinking I was texting Magdalena). They turned us away for being late. I said we've driven in from 45 minutes away to see Magdalena. At that point, I was told she retired and the store is under new ownership and we'll need to reschedule. Most certainly will not be rescheduling with you! Why I was not told the shop was under new ownership at the time of booking the appointment I'll never know. Why the staff was unwilling or incapable to make an accommodation for someone being 15 minutes late I also won't know. I'd have been fine to wait longer for the inconvenience of being 15 minute late.. But turning us away? Not something the previous owner would have ever done! I am beyond disappointed with my dog Oliver's haircut. I gave instructions for a puppy cut, at least a half inch length, so he'd still be fluffy. Instead they shaved him to the bone. He had no mats in his fur as I spent an hour grooming them out prior to taking him. So there is no excuse. The owner blames herself. I groom too and would never shave a dog like this. Took my Maltipoo puppy here for second hair cut and they did a pretty good job. Had to call a few times before I finally reached someone. They cut her hair a little lower then I wanted even after showing them a picture of how I wanted her hair cut. And the nails were supposed to be trimmed but were still sharp and scratchy.
