This Morrisons was a bit on the chaotic side from the second you walked in…read more It's set up the way most Morrisons are, where you walk straight in to the fruit and veg section, but they also have a fresh pizza section set up, that was slammed with people asking for pizzas both raw and cooked. We had plans for drinks and food for later, otherwise, I would have been tempted by all the fuss over the pizza to try some. The rest of the shop is set up like any other Morrisons and we were able to get what we were in for (late night snacks and drinks) and get out of there pretty easily. I do quite love a Morrison's and could have walked around to check out the whole place, but we had an agenda and got in and out. Like all other Morrisons, they do have a cafe that had loads of people enjoying a meal in. We used the self check out tills, so we didn't come across any staff, and that's ok, too.

As has been said before the cafe here is far superior to the one in Tesco and generally shopping here is a more pleasant experience. This wee social enterprise (employing local people and providing training opportunities) is an absolute cracker. There's always 3 soups to choose from including one gluten free and vegetarian option with some unusual and delicious flavour combos like butternut squash and chilli or celeriac and Apple for only £2 to take away with 2 slices of brown or tiger bread. There is a mouth watering selection of cakes baked fresh daily on the premises usually including cakes, brownies and biscuits as well as baked potatoes, toasties, smoothies, milkshakes and nachos. The customer service is outstanding with regular customers (like me!) remembered and warmly welcomed. There's contactless card payment service too which is a big plus for me.

Even if the item are not on the shelf, you can be able to ask at the customer service desk, to order for one, and they will reserve it for you.
