I have been with PMTM since the end of December since I have gotten the call from Susan. I have been pleased with it so far. Luna has been a great coach and so have the other models I have taken the class with. My only downfall is, I have to do another photoshoot and there is only 1 comericial photographer in my area. However I DO trust that PMTM knows what they are talking about and give me the best tips to help me succeed. I only have hopes that I can move forward to achieve my goals. read more

I think my biggest "ick" about them is the fact you are forced to pay for a course upfront and the course is almost $900. Not to mention they are hosted on weekends, so forget your personal life for 7 weeks. After you complete the course, you have an agency meeting and which they advise that you still aren't signed until you pay for your own photoshoot with their "pre-approved" photographers. (Keep in mind they don't offer them by state. So you will have to pay to commute to wherever these pre-approved photographers are). It is not until after this is completed that you are officially signed. However even after all of that, you STILL are not promised gigs. They host auditions which can last for hours. (literally). I am currently signed with them and if I'm being honest, they have not invested one dollar into me. I have paid for everything. Lastly, if they take a percentage of all bookings that they do book for you. Just do your research and look for alternatives before signing up for this "mothering agency". I wish I had. First, let me start off by saying that never in my wildest dream have I ever thought of venturing into a talent industry. It all started while walking through a local mall with my daughter who's a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader. A PMTM talent scout (Jennifer Corbi) asked if she'd be interested in auditioning. As Mommy's biggest fan, she pointed at me and said... how about my Mom. Well, at 45 years old, I felt over the hill and past my time. Then I pondered the thought... we recently moved to the area and I was on the job market so why not, I love fashion and makeup anyway. Not knowing what to expect, I went for an audition and fast forward, the two months of intensive training prepared me to qualify for the IMTA NYC'18 convention. This leap of faith wasn't at all possible without the support of my highly critical and skeptical husband (sorry baby... :) Just like probably the most, we both had doubts if this opportunity was indeed for real. Relying on faith and gut feel, thought I'd give it a try and if it doesn't work, then charge it to experience. Again fast forward, the highly skeptical husband was seeing the metamorphosis of a little violet.... he couldn't believe that this little garlic peeler has some talents hidden somewhere... :) PMTM has the most dedicated and hardworking people that I have ever worked with. After going through the intensive workshop with Dr. Ellen Rooney, and followed by grueling IMTA training with Aubrey Caldwell, PMTM has not just become a mother agency to me but truly a FAMILY. Just like any educational institutions, their training and workshops are provided by highly qualified educators with masters and Ph.D. backgrounds. Think of it as the Ivy League of the talent industry so why would this be different from paid education? If you want a Louis Vuitton quality, then be ready to pay for it. Afterall, "anything of good quality is expensive." Finally, I want to thank everyone at PMTM who has believed in me, trained me, molded me, and has had the confidence that I could do something I honestly never thought I was able to accomplish. Initially I was blind sided by my own ambitious goals and I saw everything with rose colored glasses when signing on with pmtm. But a year and about $8,000 later, I realized their fraud-like nature. I was told that I had to pay $1000 to get "audition ready" just for local jobs. Then I "auditioned" for IMTA (which is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau) but in reality they took anyone that was able to pay $5,300 or more to attend. After IMTA, I got "representation" that pmtm claims they placed me with. I didn't move to NY right away (my manager and pmtm didn't think it was necessary. They said I had time) so since I stayed in Ohio I was told that I had to continue "training" for $300-$400 every 7 weeks, with mediocre teachers that either talk about their life story or play more games than actually teach. Also, I was only able to speak with my "manager" who is based in NY and LA through pmtm as pmtm claims we are too "new to the business" to speak with our managers directly. On the other hand, PMTM also told us that our managers should be like "best friends". They also use D-list actors and models that they've made "successful" to gain your emotional value with them. These people they promote as "successful" truthfully are not even known in Hollywood. If you decide to use pmtm for local work thats fine because my cousin uses them for that but she has never paid any money. So you don't have to pay to be represented by them locally even though they will say you have to. However, my cousin gets booked for things like once a year. ALSO THEY BRIBED THEIR CURRENT CLIENTS WITH FREE WORKSHOPS FOR ALL THE 5 STARS REVIEWS. BEWARE!!!! read more

Hello, I don't want to keep going back and forth with you and your colleagues. Also, every attempt was not made in addressing my concerns, especially my initial concern which regarded one of your receptionists; it was not addressed and it was not solved. What it all comes down to is that your agency just wanted me to take my review down. It's not that you wanted to assist me,you wanted to assist me in deleting my review about my experience with your agency. Also, I did not agree to attending the classes all over again if I could not be sent out on gigs while taking the classes, classes that I've already taken. I've taken acting classes in Toledo, I've taken classes in Akron, and I've taken classes in Los Angeles California. Therefore, there is no reason for me not to have just paid the new said fee of "$100," take some refresher courses as you guys require, while still being eligible for work. Your agency speaks of me as if I am an inexperienced child talent with no kind of experience whatsoever.; and that is far from the truth. I have pictures. The pictures that I do have could have been reviewed and used until I could obtain photos through potential gigs. I was just booked to be in a movie twice, and we've already started filming, and I still have things lined up. So it doesn't stop, it hasn't stopped, and I am not so inexperienced as you say I am. I wasn't getting paid through you guys. I was getting paid by freelancing just as I'm getting paid freelancing now. There's no need for me to go backwards to an agency that really didn't care about my success in the first place. Your receptionists play a huge role in your agency. They are really the face of your company and if the representatives aren't doing their job accordingly then you will lose Talent, and I suggest you never upset the talent that is paying the agency. So I was right not to remove my review because I'm still not being heard or treated like a talent that put time and money into an agency that didn't/doesn't take me or my concerns seriously. read more

I love PMTM because Ever since i received the phone call from Ginger it's been a beautiful, positive, smiling face, all around pleasant place and journey for me! Everyone here is so nice and kind. Very helpful with whatever you need. They answer your questions and concerning. Very well at guiding you, helping you grow, learn and achieve your goals. Very positive atmosphere. Every time I walk through the door the ladies at the front desk are always smiling and ask how you are and day/weekend went. Everyone there makes you feel welcome and excepted! Im going to PMTM for acting but hope to pursue more like modeling or something because I like to challenge myself. They also support you and build you up. The other thing I love about PMTM it helped me but up my confidence, self-esteem, and my social skills. The training and support she has received from this management company has never disappointed us. She has gained confidence in herself on so many levels. Auditions, yes she has had them, has she got every job she has auditioned for no. Katlyn has worked hard and never given up and now she is getting her opportunity. Do not waste your time. I found this place through a facebook post, sent in my pictures, and a couple days later, got a call. They said to come in on Saturday for an interview. So I go, and its a room full of people, and they tell you they only "choose" a small percent of people to work with. You sit around and wait for them to call your name and then they talk to you, and then you leave, and wait for the call saying they want to work with you or not. They cannot stress enough that they are the best agency and they are amazing and you want to do everything in your power to work with them. Turns out, most everyone that goes to these "interviews" gets accepted. Then they tell you that you need to take a class, (over 1000 dollars), graduate, pay for a photo shoot, and then you're a signed model. I was skeptical. I know someone who has done great through this agency, so I trusted that I wasn't being lied to. I went to the classes and paid for them. The classes were miserable and anyone who's done any type of work before does not need to spend money on basics. Whatever. Anyway. I graduated, set up a photo shoot with the photographer they recommended, (I have friends who are photographers and could have gotten the same mediocre pictures for free) which was over 300 dollars. He sent me the pictures the same day, and I sent in my data sheet, listing agreement, and all the pictures that he had taken. They were supposed to create a digital composite and headshot in a couple weeks. So I waited a couple weeks, nothing. Called. Talked to some front desk lady who said it should be a couple more weeks. It was around Thanksgiving, so I was okay with waiting longer. In January, I left a 1 star review on facebook and stated I wasn't happy because I wasted my money for no reason. A couple days later, I get a call from another front desk person. She starts by saying my review was rude and if I still wanted to work with them, I had to communicate instead of being mad. She said they didn't have my pictures, but they did have my data sheet and listing agreement. I got annoyed with her and she handed the phone over to Steve (I think, I can't remember names) and he goes on to argue with me because he's sure I never sent the pictures in. I don't care at this point, I was fed up with the money I spent and the unprofessionalism of these supposedly, wonderful, professional people. He kept talking and said it didn't matter even if I had sent in the pictures because it was the photographers responsibility. Like I said, the photographer was awful, and I couldn't figure out how it was my fault that this guy hadn't done his job. So he says they'll get my pictures and all should be well. Okay. Whatever. I get another call in two hours saying they got my pictures and they should have a composite in 3 weeks. Okay. Same exact thing I was told before. Couple days later, I get an email saying they don't have my data sheet or listing agreement on file, and to resend them so they can do my composite. Nope. read more

They make you go through a whole process audition is to find out if they are a company meeting money at least $1000 in the hole I was looking for a company and then did not need money they try to push saying try to do acting as well and for this anything you have to pay for classes for many weeks even if you're not interested in acting audition lasted about four hours something that could've easily been done in under 20 minutes so think about it how come all the celebs got into the business for free but you have to pay it doesn't make sense you can go on any website and learn how to act if you don't naturally got it like that even professional actors mess up a line otherwise they wouldn't have the funny credits in the end so I suggest that this company played in big red riding on the company you need money to work with us or in the application say do you have a couple thousand dollars to give to us for this because I wasted moneyJust applying for them I could have been out working instead of sitting for four hours in the addition read more

I am a model, I had experience with AVEDA and a magazine shoot with them before I went here as well as a HUGE list of experience else where. This place is NOTHING but a scam. they will ask you for 1,500 $ for classes no matter who you are or what youve done. I I walked out of the interview and they called me a week later not even remembering who I was after looking at my pics 2 days before.... FAKE ! everyone thats ever gone there has said they ALWAYS ask for about 1000$ dollars. My daughter works with PMTM as a model. The staff at PMTM work very hard to place and to develop their models. If you are willing to work hard to pursue your goals they will work just as hard to help you to reach them. They have a very large number of contacts nationally and internationally. We had our daughter take classes for self-esteem and confidence, two years later she is placed with a NYC agency and soon will be oversees modeling. I would recommend this agency to anyone looking to become a model or actor. Please read before attending their "audition" they hold every so often. This place is fraud. They over promote and they're always on the hunt for locals who want to model part-time. They call you in for an audition with 50 other aspiring models and actors and feed their audience the same message. What they don't tell you in the audition is that you're required to pay $1,100 for their classes. When I began attending their classes, I realized that all 25 of my classmates paid the same amount; that's over $25,000 they've made from one class. Mind you, they start new classes every so many weeks, so you can imagine that these people are making a killing. Models, do not pay for representation. Do your research and learn the ins and outs of modeling and how real agencies operate. Lacking knowledge of the entrainment industry will be your first downfall- always do your research. I wasted so much money on this place because I failed to do my research. Don't make the same mistake as me. I'm warning all of you who are looking into this agency. Do not fall for their lies! I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this place. I went about 2 months before the summer of 2018. I went on the website, sent in my pictures and answered all the questions. Immediately that night, maybe 3-4 hours later, they called and wanted me to come in for a meeting and to get to know me. I agreed and went to the meeting which was 2 weeks after the phone call. I thought that the meeting was just going to be me, my mom, and the woman I spoke too on the phone. When I walked into the room there were well over 50 other male and females in there. Most of them had resumes and portfolios and things like that but i was not told to bring anything. The meeting was maybe 2 hours long and they provided no information about what would happen if you got accepted. it was very limited. after the meeting they called out all the names and spoke with every person in the corner! how unprofessional is that?! everyone could hear your conversation. i spoke with a woman and we talked for about 5 minutes and she told me they would be giving me a call on whether or not i would be accepted. they called me the next monday and asked me to come back in. i did and they wanted me to take a 10 week modeling class since i didn't have any experience. i did the classes and every wednesday, you would have to pay money. no place i've heard of makes you pay right off the bat. after the 10 weeks we graduated and got a certificate. then i had a meeting with another employee and it was supposed to tell me what photographers she recommended and how i could change my look to make me get more sales. she told me i had to color my hair all brown (my hair at the time was brown with blonde highlights). so i dyed my hair all brown. then i got a phone call and they wanted to set up a photoshoot to get my headshots so they could send my pictures to clients to get jobs. so i went to the photographer and he took my pictures, did my makeup and hair. it was a fun experience. after the pictures were taken, he automatically wanted me to pay, and didn't even let me see the pictures! it was very expensive and i didn't even get to see them. he told me that my pictures would be EMAILED and i would have to open them through an app called "dropbox". i got the pictures about a month later and the pictures were beautiful. he said that the pictures were automatically sent to the agency and that i would be getting a call very shortly. well. it's january 6, 2019. it's been 6 months and i haven't heard a word from the agency. that's well over 1000 dollars i spent on classes and pictures, for nothing. i talked to people who i went to the classes with, they said the same thing happened to them. i am so disappointed and i don't recommend this place unless you want to waste your money and not get anything in return! read more

Hello Yelpers, This place is a bait and switch operation. They prey on young people's ignorance. This is a operation that will trick young people into thinking that they will be the next big model. They solicit people who are eager to make it. Instead of telling people that they sell classes on how to improve their craft. They tell them that they saw some of their work and they want to get them hired. Parents if your child wants to participate find an agency that is upfront about what they do. When I found out what what I sent my money to pay I changed my mind. They had no problem swiping my sons card to take the payment. Like any contract in Ohio you have three days to void the contract. When He tried to get a refund the next day he was told that he had to write a letter to accounting explaining why he wanted his money back. This is part of the game that these places play. Don't waste your time with these people. The are better places to improve your modeling craft. read more

It is an honest, raw, outside perspective review This place is amazing. I love it. I am a part of the agency, and I go there practically every day (3-5 times a week). Just so you And non-bias, every time I go I love it. The staff is INCREDIBLE, they are so including and knowledgeable. And when I say knowledgeable, I mean they're multi movie knowledgeable. Everyone is so kind and inclusive. I was chosen for this agency despite all odds. I was 12 years old, scared, and hungry. And when I tried out, I was accepted IMMEDIATLY! I was so happy. And not just me, but about 95% of the people who auditioned got in. 95% of normal humans, normal tax paying, school attending, working, people! It's a great place. And as I said everyone was so happy and caring. For example, on my first day, I was really upset. I had a personal issue at home which really rattled me for the rest of the day. I went there very sad and sat down in the waiting room. I was thinking about this, and I started to cry to myself. I was so upset. But what surprised me, one of the staff members walked up, and asked quietly if I was okay, and if I wanted to talk. I told her I did, and went with her to a private room. From there, I spilled out everything. At first, I felt very embarrassed. She doesn't really care, this is a business! She just took me away to get me to stop crying in her lobby. But when I talked to her, I was completely flabbergasted. She listened, actually listening, intently! She was serious, thinking and giving my situation weight, caring about it! She shared my blame, and actually cared! I was so pleased. She listened to me bawl my eyes out, offering tissues as I stammered along. When I was done, she stood up, walked over, and gave me a big hug. I never felt so warm and loved. When she let go, she sat down, and started talking to me, about the situation, solutions, and how I felt. She made me feel warm, and made me laugh. She made me laugh and feel so much better about myself. She offered solutions, and completely immersed herself in my problem, as if she would get 100$ for helping, when really, she's spending her valuable time on me! I felt so important and loved and respected, it was like I was talking to my best friend. And even better, later, 2 other staff members saw my red eyes (from crying) and asked if I was okay, and offered to help if not. I was so happy. So these other reviews? They're outright wrong. No proof. This agency is so motherly, and the advice they give is SO PROFESSIONAL. I love this place so much, and so do all my peers. Everyone, and mean every single person involved in this business, has gotten jobs in movies, TV, commercials and -most of them- MORE! I have learned SO MUCH, and have grown SO MUCH, from this. And I'm just a 12 year old! Sure, it might be financially troubling, but hey, that's life. You want a job? Your going to have to pay! There's no way around fees. And the "It's too pricey" stuff? If you go to other places to get the same deal or job your offered is going to be TRIPLED. That is absolutely NO JOKE NO EXAGGERATION. Here, you audition free, other places? That will be 100$ please. Going to LA for IMTA (an international convention with hundreds of agents and managers that look for talent and models, such as you) For A WEEK would have a grand total of 10,000$ for everything. Going to LA for IMTA with someone else? 10,000$ For just setting up transportation. Your not getting the HOUSE, the FOOD, the BAGGAGE, not even the COMPETITION ITSLEF. PLUS, that's including 1 PERSON. You see, PMTM is the best it can be. Low prices for what it's worth (for example, a chance to meet Tom Logan, a famous ABC national TV caster visiting EXCLUSIVLY PMTM, all for the price of a 2 dollar can of peas. SERIOUSLY. 2$ Worth to see a 20,000$ MAN. I would do it). Very kind and professional, I would go here in a heartbeat. And all you cautious protecting moms not wanting their kid to be hurt or mislead, don't you worry. I am 12 years old, and I can say this place is as warm and motherly and gentle as it can be, do it. I waited 3 years to write this review. I wanted to be sure we gave it a fair chance. We were given the impression there was plenty of local work for our beautiful young daughters. We took the bait and paid over one thousand dollars for classes. The classes were very good and Aubrey really cared about our kids. However it was a huge sacrifices financially. We took the leap believing it would pay off. It didn't....not even close. Every month for three years I have faithfully checked my daughters in to keep them active. I was under the impression that when PMTM employee Courtney signed our girls up she would be with us on this journey. I misunderstood thinking that she would be a point person for us and a mentor. I will never forget her smiling at my girls and asking them if they were ready to be super busy. Of course we thought this meant doing print work or adds. Not busy paying for and taking classes. We soon felt like just a number and if we walked into the agency today not a person there would know who we are. After three years each daughter has only have 1 opportunity. We are thankful for that opportunity but it barely put a dent into the cost we paid for training. My girls are hard workers and it hurts to see them get disappointed by this experience. They wanted so much to do commercials and were lead to believe this would happen. As a parent I feel like I let them down putting them through this agency. If you are looking for an agency to connect you with larger agency. This agency maybe ok. They really push IMTA and train the talent for this. (At a price). But we could never afford to send our girls to that. Even if we did come up with that money we are not looking to travel to LA and New York. IMTA gives you the chance to connect with agencies in these cities. I wish Pro Model had just been upfront and honest. We were given so much hope and I really feel mislead. If they are good with connecting talent to a larger agency in larger cities then PMTM should market as that. A place to train but not a place to book jobs. If money is tight for you and your not looking to move to LA or New York.... this place is not for you. We will never get our money back. My daughter was called in to PMTM after an encounter with one of their recruiters at a mall. They filled her head with the possibility of her being a model. I fell for the scam just like thousands of parents before me. I took her to the classes and only then I realized they would take anybody that was willing to pay their fees. I followed up with the head shots because afterall, we'd come this far. Then the photographer told me the truth... But I still continued on just in case. I emailed them every month letting them know that my daughter was still interested and available, but nothing. After about a year I gave up. Please please please do not believe a word they tell you. It is all lies. Find another reputable company that does not take your money up front. They are not a modeling agency. They are a school that used to be called Barbizon and had to change names because of all the bad publicity. This is one of those places that is more about getting financial gain rather than actually starting careers. They first sell you on an idea that they helped and launched a lot of careers but they are not even a sag credited company. They also will not let you use any materials head-shots, Photos, demo reels unless it was provided or given to them by services they offer themselves or companies they are in alliance with. The classes they try to sell you on are priced very high at a minimum of 500 dollars and you only learn basic acting and developmental techniques. To where you can visit Masterclass.com spend 90 dollars and get an over 200hr class with books, and video lessons given by Samuel L Jackson for example. Or you can find a local credited University or Conservatory and take summer or five week intensive for around or a little more than the cost of their classes and get way more valuable information. Any real agency will not ask or plead for money upfront or demand that you take their classes or use their services to provide materials. Real agencies expect you to gather that yourself and present it to them amongst signing, they may give recommendations, but will not demand or try to sway you by spending money on them.
