Confession time - December 22nd..... I started my Christmas shopping for the year. (I have a…read moremedical excuse for the delay this year!) So as I hurriedly thought of gift ideas and got ideas from my loved ones, I knew BB&B would be the place to go! I grabbed my gallon sized bag of coupons, took a deeeeeep breath, and headed out the door. I expected a disheveled store as it was toward the end of the day, but i was very impressed with the order and cleanliness of the store. I quickly found what i was looking for, in fact, a little too quickly.... sooooo... that meant i I had some time to look around for more things. I love the section of china and fine dining. They have everything from Kate Spade to Spode to Lennox to many other desirable goods. The staff made sure to let me know they were there for any questions or needed assistance. I found a couple of items that I had been searching for at other big box stores and could not find, and decided I should head out before I shopped only for me! When i walked in, the check out line was wrapped around a corner, but they made some additional counters available, and by the time I was ready, there were only two customers ahead of me. You never know what sort of mood a store employee will be in during the Christmas rush, but the man who worked my transaction was so friendly, pleasant, and had a conversation with me as I paid. He could ave just done the job and let me be, but he individualized our conversation. Oh, and coupons, you can still use as many as you want. So my bag got a little lighter that trip, though I'm sure in the next weeks, I'll receive more to replace them and add them to my stash!

Normally I don't shop here often. Years ago I bought a bougie trash can here and I must say it has…read moreheld up beautifully. I like step-on trash cans and this is one that lasts. I use to have to buy them about once a year when I bought the cheaper ones. But the trash can liners are weird sized and I've been buying them here and they cost about 37¢ a piece. I came in here yesterday and everyone was super nice BUT they didn't have the bags. Grr.

I tried to return a gift that I received for a house warming gift but since I did not have a…read morereceipt or was not registered with them for my house warming party I was treated bad. The lady must have asked me 5 or 6 times if I had a registry with them for my house warming party or a gift receipt. Finally, I told them to just not worry about it I would give the items back to my dad's girlfriend and have her come and deal with them since they were the ones that purchased the gift. Needless to say she was able to return the items but it was just too much of a hassle and everything in that store is definitely over priced!

A super helpful employee came over and helped me determine which knife was the the best one based on what I was thinking about. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great experience. The next time I went, it was okay, but nothing spectacular. I asked a few questions and had to wait around 10 minutes each time for the answer. I ended up just picking what i thought was good. WS is an excellent place to grab gifts and to invest in nice pieces for your own place. Also, their sales are pretty great if you want to stock up on things for future hostess gifts.

Seemingly enough, this store hasn't delighted many shoppers, but I enjoy it. Though I don't need most of what they have in here because I don't really like a ton of kitchen appliances and gadgets in my home, it's still fun to check things out. Yes, many of the items are sorely overpriced and I can find for cheaper on-line, but at least I am able to get an idea about what I'd like to try and find on-line. Every time I have been in here, it has been to look for something different. The last time I went in here, I was looking for an espresso maker. There was actually a brand rep there for a specific name that I don't remember and she gave us a lot of great insight on espresso makers. I rarely have to have something top-of-the-line and always make sure it is simple and functional. So, she definitely helped me steer clear of those types of espresso makers. There has only been a couple instances, where customer services was below average here. Most of the time, I have enjoyed my visit here. I have yet to check out one of the classes they offer. If you are looking for something specific, they may be able to help you; however, if you are just trying to come in and shop for kitchen accessories, on the fly, you may not always be able to find what you need. Regardless, have fun because this is a neat store! Sadly, I think on-line sales are causing storefronts to close down, so I'd be sad to see this one go, if and when that time comes.

My father needed a better way to get in and out of the shower, his old bathtub was not working for…read morehim. He had trouble getting out of it. I decided to look into a walk-in tub with several companies and found that the prices were through the roof. I drove up to Luters and found what we needed for a third of the cost. A contractor put it in for me and it was still less than half the cost. The Luter's owner was so helpful with suggestions about how to choose the proper product. My dad, being over six feet, needed an extra-large, heavy-duty seat. Mr. Luter told me how to have the valve located near the seat for ease of control. We ultimately bought a low lip, step-in shower. Dad loved it and told everybody about it. Dad did not live long afterwards. The last thing that I did was help him take a shower with dignity and comfort. Thank you.

Find them in the mail, find them in the newspaper (that's a thing people used to read for news), find them online. They never expire! So that means, if you find an old and tattered 20% off'er, USE IT. Those are the Holy Grail of BBB coups now. They are scaling down their offers and 20% off is going the way of the DoDo (kids, that was a goofy looking, but pretty, bird that man drove to extinction in the 1600's). Regardless of which coupon, just make sure you have one. This store is just about like all the rest. It's a monster corporate chain so everything is always in the same place. I've not met anyone working here that made me feel strongly in any way. I guess that's good. Or not. I don't know.
