Set my hubs up with an appt. He showed a picture of what he wanted and they talked about it. He left is disappointed. He even said he wasn't happy. Guy charged him FULL amount anyhow $40. Literally other than lining it up......it looked the same as when he left the house. Don't go. Parking sucks too! Not worth it. Poor customer service and don't listen to what u want. Go elsewhere. read more

I scheduled an appointment online as a first time client, and I was very happy that it didn't ask for prepayment (I would have skipped otherwise). Walked in, sat down right away, and now Caesar is my new barber. Place couldn't have been cleaner. Price commensurate with downtown Stuart location as well as competitor pricing. My cut was $30 and worth every penny. All 3 barbers were super friendly. A+ read more

Was travelling for work all week, and needed a haircut. My hair is nothing to brag about, and a few swipes with a clipper is all it usually takes. Not sure what the name of the man who cut my hair was, but he treated it like it was royalty. Not just clipper, but trimming and even razor shaving around the edges. He put a product in it that made it lay nicely, which I haven't done in at least 15 years. Kudos to The Place barber shop! Thank you! read more

You can tell the Barbers a good at what they do, however it is over priced. One thing that really bothers me is that every barber turns you away from the mirror while they cut your hair. Now I understand that is a practice some barbers do as they feel the mirror is intended for them to have a better visual but honestly, I like to see what they are doing so I can let them know if something is not the way I wanted. It is too late after they turn you around to show you what they did. If I was a regular, with the same barber, and the same cut every every-time, then okay, but I will not go back to overpay and hope the barber is giving me the cut I want. Also, for that price and what is intended to be a "classic" feel barber shop - what ever happened to the heated shave cream and strait edge razor to clean up the neck after the cut? I miss that. read more

The barbers are super nice and know what there doing I come here every month They are always nice the best 100% recommend read more

Carlos is the best barber ever! I have never received so many compliments on my hair!!! I spent years, time and money dealing with salons. This is great. Carlos deals with my nasty cowlicks. I love it there! read more

Just had my hair cut, eyebrow and mustache trimmed.Carlos is a great perfectionist. As retired military I love the way he uses straight edge with hot shave to add the finishing touch He is not a "barber" hes an artist".My barber is Carlos but watching the other barbers work Id trust any of them to cut my hair Just a great bunch of guys Also cool to book appointments online so no waiting read more

I've going by this place for years and never stopped in, until today. I just walked in, with a short wait to get in a chair. Cody was was my barber. He asked the right kind of questions on what kind of look and cut I was wanting. His attention to detail was great, he made sure all my lines were straight and even. He used a straight razor to make outline of my beard clean and sharp. Moisturize my cheek and hairline to make sure I don't have any razor burn. I would defiantly go back for another cut and shape up.....Ask for Cody read more

if you want to overpay for a clipper cut go here. The barber (Martinez) refused to use scissors. He cut my hair with clippers in 15 minutes. Then spent another 15 minutes shaving my neck and around my ears. Waste of money! read more

Wow, this barber shop is a gem. Plenty of staff, so no long waits. The staff was extremely friendly.....I was visiting town and we asked for lunch suggestions and they told us where their favorite spots are. I was really happy with the haircut and feel kinda fortunate that they were here. read more

Our first vist to this Batber shop as conveniently located near where we live. My husband desperately needed a haircut as he just got out of hospital a week ago from breaking his hip. So, i needed to assist him into barbershop. I also had my service dog who i take everywhere for obvious reasons she is my service dog for medical reasons. Immediately i was yelled at by a rather rude barber no service dogs allowed! I was rather humiliated as it was a room full of people. I told him she is my service dog . i always carry my card. He demanded to know what my disability was ! Again, humiliated. Not all disabilities are visual. My poor husband who is temporarily disabled only 52. Was appalled at how we were being treated. I told him let's go not going to be treated like this. Apparently, this place has no empathy for disabled customers. Rude and discourteous and unprofessional. No worries we drove 5 mins away to a excellent barber shop who treated my husband and i with excellent care and no discrimination!!! read more

Been looking for a new place for a haircut for 6 months. Chose this place based upon yelp reviews. They don't take appointments but wasn't a problem, even though the place was busy I only waited a minute. Carlos cut my hair, did a great job. Definitely a customer for life! read more

Always have a great haircut when I leave. If you have time to shave too. Just what a barbershop should be. Wish I was in Stuart more often. read more

Excellent hair cut for $15. Barber (Glen) took his time. Not quick but probably the best haircut I've gotten in 20 years. Will return.

My nephew introduced me to The Place. Their cutters can accommodate any style, from the youngest and hippest contemporary to the most traditional and classic. Their dedication to providing the best possible quality cut and customer satisfaction starts with the owner, Carlos, and continues to every barber there! I have been, and continue to be impressed with their work and would recommend them to anyone who needs a haircut! read more

Awesome haircut, great price. I don't live in Stuart, but if I did I would be a regular at The Place.

Just had my first haircut and certainly found the only barber shop I will ever use. Shop has original refurbished chairs dating back to the early 1900 s that are comfortable and cool. My barber Carlos took his time something very rare today, and did a perfect job. Scissor cut, trimmed the eyebrows, shaving cream and a razor cut then used the blow dryer to remove any cut hair before completion. Carlos is a terrific barber and very sociable plan to request him next visit. Fifteen dollar "cash only " was a bargain I highly recommend the Place read more

Was in the store early to get my son a hair cut. He is very young and is still learning how to sit still for a hair cut. The barber who has cut my sons hair before was rather off. When we went to get in the chair my son sat on my lap and became upset, the barber became annoyed. I asked him if he could cut the front different today as my wife wanted it shorter so she didn't have to brush the front everyday. The barber stated "you can get a kids hair cut anywhere" and "cutting his hair isn't worth it". I told the barber we have liked the way he has cut my sons hair in the past but just wanted a little change. The barber said "you can tell your wife she can take him somewhere else then". I said let's just try to get his hair cut, as he began to start cutting my son moved his head. The barber began telling me that he wasn't going "to do this" today and "it's way to early for this". The barber was rude, the atmosphere is uninviting and the barbers were talking crap about the owner while he wasn't there. I will not be returning for my own hair cut. I don't appreciate anyone telling my wife to shove it. read more
