Omfgggggg I've got lots of different piercings over the years and all different places. I went to The piercing shop today walk in to get dermal top put on and decided there to get the daith piercing. So besides being able to do it on the spot,the selection of jewellery was great the person on the counter was so amazing and answered any and all of my questions. Thennnnn the piercing that's the omfggg part, the piercer so friendly and super helpful and so talented. It was my least painful the pliers hurt more than needle. Anyway cannot recommend them enough. I've had 3 piercings here soon to be 10 wanting to get more cause they are so nice and friendly and do a exceptional job. Story time The first time I went in I was by myself and was getting a nape (back of neck) and they offered me a stress ball and the other lady even offered to hold my hand or sit with me while I had it done they are so kind and this is the best Piercing shop I have been to, wont go anywhere else and am so exited to get my next ones when they open back up The piercings I got from there have healed nicely, I got a nape, nose and I was really scared because I had it pierced 3 times before but the lady calmed me down and I also had my daith and with my daith I asked her to put a clear bar just because my school doesn't allow it now and she had no questions doing it All healed perfect and I will say I got a piercing from a different store over 18 months ago and it still hurts sometimes These are my piercing and they are just beautiful read more

This place is legit. I've had my ears pierced here twice and they have been nothing but professional and quite easy to talk to. Even through the pain barrier. And it's a very little one. There are many different varieties of piercings for your plethora of body parts or someone elses body part for that matter. There is quite a fancy range of studs and belly button decorative rings for all types of navels as I was told and everything is clean, sterile and very non dodgy. When I first walked in the place was crowded with youngins looking to get pierced and it didn't seem like the girl behind the counter was thrilled about it. I browsed around while waiting and they do have a decent selection of body jewelry. I asked if they had clickers and they have the most I've actually seen in any one shop - and surprisingly an array from around $25 up to $175 (the fancy industrial ones) I totally want a nice one....but they didn't have any with plain diamond coloring - but she told me she did order more so keep a lookout if you're interested. I ended up grabbing an inexpensive one for now. The girl behind the counter ended up being nice and told me she had no dramas changing her clicker when I asked if it was gonna be difficult for me to do myself - she even took hers out to show me how easy it was to pop in and out. The piercer there also chatted with me about the different clickers and was really nice and helpful. I highly recommend coming to this shop for jewelry - I can't speak for a piercing, but I think they know what they are doing here. Much better option than Piercing Planet in the CBD. read more

Before emo happened and piercing became as popular as it has been for the past few years, there was nowhere else in Brisbane that offered such an expert, hygienic, and safe approach to piercing. I've been going to The Piercing Shop for the past decade and every piercing I've had done there has been professional and healed perfectly. The Piercing Shop provide clients with detailed aftercare instructions and products, and offer follow up consultations for any healing issues or if you just need your jewellery downsized. Seventeen years after The Piercing Shop opened Brisbane still only has a few proper piercing shops dedicated solely to piercing and offering proper sterilisation and piercing procedures. In fact, I can only think of one other. But it doesn't matter because as long as The Piercing Shop is around I'll never go anywhere else for a piercing. read more

The staff are well kept (no infected piercings to be seen), and the place is spotless. You won't get anxiety about the possibility of the Piercing Shop being dodgy. The piercing rooms are extremely clean and orderly. Everything the piercer uses comes out of fresh plastic packets. They sterilise everything in front of you too. They've got excellent bed side manner. They'll walk you through each step of what they're doing and be as quick and as efficient as possible. Having watched them push needles through chunks of flesh, I have to say that they are really smooth. It almost looks like a performance. The prices are very reasonable and sometimes they have specials on. Before you pay they run through after care and give you the products you need to look after your new piercing. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else to get a piercing. These guys are professionals. read more

The Piercing Shop has been around for a while for a good reason - the number one priority of the staff is to provide and maintain healthy, attractive piercings. The shop is slightly hidden away in the Queen Street Mall above the Wallace & Bishop jewellery store. It's worth seeking out though as Lynette, the business owner, has over 25 years experience and is completely committed to her art. I'm new to Brisbane and was planning to go to the Piercing Shop, but have now changed my mind due to the extremely bad impression I've gotten without even having been to the shop. I attempted to call many many times to find out if they'd be able to provide the service I need. Their website has been down for "maintenance" for months and nobody answers the phone; there isn't even a voicemail option. No way to contact this business with inquiries. This speaks poorly of their professionalism and I wouldn't trust their ability if they can't even answer a question. read more

The piercing shop is my go to piercing place. The staff are very professional and know what they are talking about. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about all piercings and jewellery. The staff are also very calming when it comes to actually getting the piercing done. They are very professional and have so many years of piercing experience so you are ensured a sanitary piercing which is done right. The workers are always willing to answer any questions you have and they send you home with an information leaflet at the end. They have so many jewellery options at all price points. The prices for all piercings are very good and reasonable with a large range of piercing types and in different spots. They also have multiple options for cleaning sprays and solutions. The piercings don't take long to do and you could easily just get a piercing one day when your wandering around queen street mall. The shop is above Wallace bishop on level two and trying to find it for the first time can be a bit confusing but there are many signs to help find the shop. There is not a law in Queensland preventing underage people from getting piercings so many teenagers come here on the holidays. If you decide to come get a piercing on the holidays or weekends I suggest you book an appointment just to ensure you'll be able to get your desired piercing done. I went to The Piercing Shop to get my first piercing (excluding the basic lobe piercings I got when I was a baby). Given my inexperience teamed with internet sourced horror stories of piercings gone wrong, I was a little nervous about the whole event. Upon arriving in the store, these worries were all alleviated. While small, the store still maintained a clinical, clean, and professional air. The woman who served me was also very friendly and helpful when I consulted her with questions about both my piercing plans and the establishment's practices. Although I have no comparison, I would say the pricing was fair ($30 for a helix piercing, including a plain surgical steel stud). As for the actual piercing process, the staff made clear efforts to make the process as comfortable for me as possible, and were receptive to my exact desires for the piercing aesthetic. Overall, I honestly plan to go there again in the future. The only minor issue was although they provided me with a aftercare pamphlet, I was not really debriefed by the staff with a thorough aftercare plan. If I had asked them however, I am sure they would given more information. read more
