Jesse is an apprentice but I had complete faith in him, especially after meeting him at the shop for my consultation a few weeks back. The shop is rad! It's so clean and cozy. All of the artists are super friendly and seem to love being there. True Love requires a minimum $50 deposit for a tattoo, which you can pay in cash prior to your appointment, or pay thru PayPal! Which was really convenient. The tattoo I wanted was nothing I had seen Jesse do before, but he emailed me a sketch of his idea and I was so stoked it was almost exactly what I pictured. Jesse told me on appointment day, this style of tattoo was his first time ever doing anything like it. I'm absolutely impressed with the whole experience. Not to mention, my tattoo is so beyond perfect. Jesse will definitely be the one to finish my whole arm.

Once I came to terms with my right to exercise my power to say "actually, that's not quite right yet, sorry", I rocked up for my appointment only to find out that there was absolutely nothing to fear. Pip had done an awesome job in translating my suggestions into exactly the picture I had in my brain. She was as professional as she needed to be, and the remainder of her was hilarious. The pricing was totally reasonable (True Love are cash-only, but there's an ATM at the supermarket around the corner). I look forward to going back to True Love.

The set up of this salon is actually professional, they ask you to place your name on a list when you arrive mostly you are served instantly but sometimes you sit in the comfortable waiting area where you are able to select the colour you want and flip through (reasonably recent) magazines. The staff are friendly but sometimes there can be a bit of a language barrier, if you are new to getting your nails done and don't know the process this can be a little daunting as their are instructions you must follow, in saying that, more savvy patrons will always lending a helping hand if need be. I've never had a pedicure here, but while I get my manicure I do notice the customers enjoying a pedicure savouring every moment, that includes a leg massage by the looks of it. ProfessioNAIL is clean, consistent and has skilled nail technicians, Kim is my personal favourite! I can't imagine you'd be let down, I trusted them to do my nails the day before my wedding.

I showed the hairdresser a photo of what I wanted and it was a realistic expectation. The hairdresser did ask and discuss our options but it wasn't what I expected. I may be a bit more particular with what I want and expected as I had a fantastic hairdresser that had recently retired that always did my hair the way I explained. I don't think I would go back but I think my daughter will as she has long curly hair and you can't really muck it up.

The views are great from the restaurant, the food is fab and the service is good. What struck me the most was the general ambiance and cheerful nature of those who worked there. Something delightful! As we don't drink wine and part of the voucher included a free bottle of wine, they were more than accommodating and covered the cost of our drinks so that we got our money's worth. This was a very kind and selfless gesture and we were a tad shocked and very grateful. I highly recommend coming here for even just a day trip. I'd love to stay over one day though! It's a little oasis not too far from the city.

Located on Clear Mountain (as the name suggests) the lodge provides spectacular views of the Moreton Bay Region. They cater for corporate retreats, function and weddings and do a spectacular job. I have stayed here for a corporate retreat and have also attended a wedding - both experiences were wonderful. Great food and service, comfortable rooms and beautiful clean mountain air. A spa and vineyard also feature at the resort however I was not lucky enough to experience either. If you want a short trip away to re-energise and rejuvenate I highly recommend the Clear Mountain Lodge.

Eliesha worked on my piece, I had three different small tattoos combined and she managed to sketch it so perfectly. I can't wait to go back and get more work done by her. She was a sweetheart, so nice. All the staff are super friendly. I definitely recommend this place to everyone the staff are amazing and most importantly it was a very clean shop. They accept walk ins, however I would suggest making an appointment as all the artists were tattooing when I got mine.
