I bought an chocolate eclaire which was ok but not great. A cherry tart again was ok. And some other dessert which I couldn't say or spell the name but again it was just ok. My girlfriend purchased a croissant which was dry and hard on the ends. I will return and try the pies. (As they use to be great) but if they are no good I don't think I will visit again.

Then you cast your eye over a sheer symphony of delightful desserts, a masterpiece of items to get your taste buds jumping up and down with delicious anticipation. How do you decide from such a selection, can you stop at just one or do you flee to save that waist line you've sacrificed so much for. I've only been in three or four times in the last year yet each time they remember who I am. The store itself is clean and the breads are always well displayed. The rolls here are very soft, particularly the flour rolls. The doughnuts also look a lot nicer than those in chain bakeries, cheaper too. With a big orange sign out the front it is easy to see in the big strip of shops at Studfield. Check it out.

Bayswater Cake Kitchen have been taking out medals for their vanilla slices for over 10 years now…read more Voted the "Best Vanilla Slice in Australia" 5 times, and ranking 2nd another 5 times, the medals say it all. My mum even has them make a cake sized vanilla slice for her 50th birthday, and it was a clear hit with the guests. Also operating as a regular bakery, it's clear what their specialty is, and I recommend you drop in for a good old fashioned 'snot block' if in the area.
