The best thing about it is that the products are all made by hand and with natural ingredients and the packaging is limited meaning that is more environmentally sound. The only trouble I find is that the smells are so strong that my nose can't stand it for too long so I have to dash in and out quickly! The Chester branch is comparatively small but seems to have quite a good range of items. In the run up to Christmas they seem to have offers on so there are probably bargains to be had, especially if you have several people to buy for.

The produce is fairly cheap considering the quality, but the overpowering scents still make me a bit of a non-fan. Its one thing smelling nice, its another killing people!

I've got my eye on an Escada set at the mo which is around £20 for five mini fragrances. Escada are always tricky because the blighters change their perfume every year and have seasonal stuff, so it's really hard to get the same perfume twice. But that's just me and my perfume preferences (ideal for summer - nice and fruity!) If the cheaper prices weren't enough to lure you in, there's also a loyalty scheme where, if you're a member, you get even more offers such as buy one get one free, three for two and discount vouchers. You'll be smelling of roses all year round!!

They have always advised well as the purchases have been well received and used heavily! The dream of 'perfect skin' which Lloyd Cole and the Commotions sang so eloquently about is the firm basis for this Bold Street business. There is as you would expect every form of oil and essence to make your skin lovely and your bathtime a perfect treat! Indeed maybe the local B and Q, Rapid Hardware or any other bathstores should do the deal of the century and start to promote this bodyshop as this smelly heaven is already doing more to singlehandedly sell baths and showers than their own salesforce! My dearly beloved is a particular fan of the 'body butter' a product which by its very name conjures up an image of richness and opulence. The current flavour of choice is Mango but this has only just replaced Neroli and Jasmin which I am reliably informed is every bit as good as the finest french perfume. The staff are brill and the fairtrade ethos can really help your feelgood factor when you treat yourself or make that essential purchase for a loved one.

It does make me feel that they are trying hard to pull customers in; at the same time, it also makes me feel I'm not going to be left alone once I step into the shop! Therefore, it turns the shopping trip into a bit of an ordeal. Having said that, staff inevitably greet you with a smile and kindly ask if you need any assistance. Having ongoing issues with cracked lips, I called in here to see if they had any samples or natural products I could buy which would help with that. The store inside is set up like my nearest branch at Manchester Arndale, which is the only other branch of the chain I can recall visiting. The prices here were pretty high for what I'd basically call premium toiletries and accessories, with nothing which looked likely to justify the higher price tag, other than when I asked a few questions about a lip balm to a member of staff, they seemed to try and make it worth the money but a lip-barm which was small, like the size you could get a few of (around 4?) in a little gift set for £1 to £2 in a supermarket cost £5 here which in my opinion is unjustifiable. Samples of certain products didn't seem good for hygiene, for example, the lip barm allowed you to rub it on your hand but considering it's also been rubbed on other people, that isn't as good as perhaps using a sample you can just press down or spray, such as a cream or aerosol, so especially in a store like this with the price needs to be justified having products you can sample easily without these hygiene issues is important. The staff here seemed quite helpful and friendly, admittedly the high pricing isn't their fault. The store smelled nice, it has a relatively nice and modern feel, but due to issues with some products including the sampling and prices it is far from perfect or fantastic, admittedly I'm not the target market for this store so I'm going to count that into my overall rating that this place is far from terrible, considering it had a nice feel with some decent products and friendly, helpful staff I feel it deserves a three-star rating at least.

After we made our purchases we were also given some gorgeous free gifts (special offers this month) and extra free samples. Even my husband was smiling and he hates shopping! From the outside, it has the pretty modern look and signs they seem to be slowly introducing to all their stores, my local store in the Manchester Arndale (the only other Bodycare branch I recall visiting) recently got this refurbishment, but as you go into the store it doesn't feel as nice, or as modern, as it does at first glance. Considering this is a store made for toiletries, the product ranges, especially for men really did disappoint, consisting mainly of celebrity endorsed or cheap aftershave packs, and deodorants, rather than other items such as shampoos and body wash for example. The store also used the unusual approach of stacking items to the ceiling, which would be impossible for even the tallest of men or giraffes to reach, in a way this is good as it is mainly the surplus products of one item and they are utilising their retail space better than putting random cages and shelves everywhere, which is one of my main hatreds in stores as they just seem to get in the way, like football referee Graham Scott got in the way regularly during my favourite football team, Manchester City's recent 5-0 win in the FA Cup over Burnley. The staff seemed average, not too friendly or helpful, yet not so bad it deserves any further mention. This store is better for women than men, with a much better selection of toiletries for women and even perfumes, if you're a man perhaps your best bet would be to get toiletries across the way at Boots, or perhaps somewhere else entierly.

The shop is fairly large and there are a lot of shelves of products available which are fully stocked, the shop does have disabled access but no car park, the shop is all on one floor.
