Upon meeting with the owner, Kate, I decided to give it a try & am so glad I did. Unlike past gyms I joined, I have felt totally welcomed and supported here. Every trainer takes the time to show you the workouts, explain the why, and are your biggest supporters throughout. I love how most of them have kids and know the struggle of the juggle between self care and balancing the home life. They maximize the time you are at the gym and tailor things to your capabilities, but give that extra nudge you need to step out of your comfort zone. After all, outside the comfort zone is where the magic happens!

I kept sliding back into the water. So the lady that was with me took me out of the water in my chair and put me on the ground. There was supposedly a seat belt. She had a hard time finding both sides and said she didn't need to use it that day. So there I was out of the water doing leg exercises that I was doing at home. So I was utterly shocked and disappointed at the way this health center handled this whole situation. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, just getting my frustration out. I have seven more appointments and right now I can't decide whether to go or not.

I booked the class the night before at the very last minute. Before walking into the studio, while parking my car, I realized that I accidentally forgot my yoga mat at home. So, as I entered the studio, I was happy when the yoga teacher handed me a yoga mat to borrow after I told her that I forgot mine at home. VINYASA CLASS -- I checked the class schedule and I believe took the "In Studio - All Levels" class. The instructor Mel D. led the class. As a teacher, she used great cues that allowed the students to flow from one yoga pose to the next. This class wasn't difficult for me but even though it appeared to be a beginner level class, I still enjoyed the challenge of holding poses such as downward facing dog. YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTION (In Studio - All Levels Class) -- "Flow classes focus on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness, inviting the body to move with increased awareness and ease. During this class we will incorporate several modifications to accommodate physical limitations or to make poses more challenging." Hope yoga has locations in Westlake and Fairview Park.
