Patrons are warmly greeted, the interior design is warm, comfortable, and inviting, the Canadian-themed menu is diverse and interesting, and the food is beautifully put together and delicious. In addition, the each course was served in a timely way, not too rushed and also no long waits in between. The only reason I do not give Woody's a "five star" rating is that, despite that each sauce variety we sampled was tasty and well-paired for the food with which it was served, every single one of them was on the sweet side. I would have preferred something savory at some point, and this was also mentioned to the server by another patron at a nearby table. (I will also add that I was mildly disappointed to not see poutine - the quintessential Canadian way of serving french fries, on the menu). Still, it was a very positive and delightful dining experience and I highly recommend it.

Clientele is mostly couples and young families with children. Friendly service. This is an American-themed bar and grill restaurant--fixtures, dishes, music etc. in every way EXCEPT when it comes to ordering food grilled to your preference. So my medium-rare burger arrived their way--medium-well. To the credit of Edison, we were informed in advance that food will not and cannot be cooked to our preference since cooked ahead of time. A Lesson in Culture: We were informed by our waitress that the Dutch consider it impolite to make a request how to cook your food. We were certainly polite in our request and were politely told 'not going to happen.' Fried pickles was fun appetizer. Salsa with chips appetizer was as mild as ketchup. Burgers can be ordered in various sizes. I ordered XL and it was a full meal (see pic). Every item is à la carte...fries, side salad, even ketchup are additional. A thimble-size serving of ketchup is additional cost. I'm not going to get used to that local custom. Grolsch is the house brewski on tap. 4.75 € for 0.5 L. I prefer a hoppier Heineken, but Grolsch is also good. Plus good assortment of bottled beers including Belgium beers. Modest suggestion: The owners of Edison Grill should spend a couple of weeks in the USA and visit Shake Shack, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, and Smashburger for the best ideas in a quality burger operation.
