I met with Kim and her assistant designer feeling very unsure of what I wanted. They worked with me every step of the way. I spoke with them and showed them a few different styles I admired from Pinterest, along with my budget, and my expectations.. THEY BLEW ME AWAY!! I ended up with the most gorgeous custom cabinets and a more stylish kitchen than I could have ever imagined. So many times throughout the design process, I would start to second guess myself or feel overwhelmed and they were always just a call or text away. These girls guided me to the perfect kitchen- with never using a professional before, I had no clue what I was missing(!) We are now planning on using them to redo my home office and our master suite. Everyone that sees my kitchen wants a referral because it literally looks like something out of a magazine. I am so proud of my new kitchen and beyond thrilled with my experience with Dreamhouse Studios. 10 OUT OF 10.

I was told that Dream House Studios designers have a reputation for incorporating a client's existing furniture into their new home. This was important to me since I have being collecting antiques for 36 years. In addition we were downsizing from over 7000 square feet on two floors to a 2200 sq. ft. town home on 4 floors. Working with Dream House was a frustrating experience; there was no design boards with colors, fabrics or furniture placement ideas; but there were plenty of design billing hours. What they did well was to help manage subcontractors such as painters and cabinet-makers AND introduce me to quality subcontractors. What was sorely missing was ideas and design consultation despite my requests for the very same. When I inquired about my last bill regarding ideas for drapes and what actually I was paying for (I had already canceled due to their lack of service) I was told it was "proprietary information". Seriously? I could have uncovered the same ideas in a few minutes searching on Pinterest. Over the course of last several months, I received more design ideas and quality input from both Bassett Furniture and Ethan Allen than I did from Dream House! Importantly like, both Bassett and Ethan Allen offer their consultation services for free! If you need help with design consultation, our experience would indicate you can do much better elsewhere. Save yourself money, time and frustration, do not use Dream House Studios.

I only wish I had gone earlier in the season. In addition to the gorgeous, larger format framed works, they have some amazing gift items. There are many items featuring her great designs. The holiday cards are so unique; I will remember that before buying cards for next year. They had tree ornaments, towels, glassware, and so many other gift items. Make your stop here part of a fun day out and visit one of the nearby restaurants for lunch too. Annapolis Arts District has SO much to offer.

I don't know anything technically about art but I know what I like when I see it and that includes Nancy Hammond's colorful interpretations of life around Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay region. As an Annapolitan I have long been familiar with Nancy Hammond Editions and I was excited to see she has a gallery in Saint Michael's in addition to her downtown Annapolis location. I think the Saint Michael's gallery might only be open on the weekends but its is beautifully done and worth a stop. When I visited a colorful heron print called "Trumpet Vine and Marshmallow" was featured up front and I just kept starring at it and all the lovely colors. There is something fun about the long-legged herons and this piece really captures that for me. While Nancy Hammond does paint a lot of herons she is also known for capturing Labrador retrievers, the Naval Academy, Annapolis, sailboats and other common sights of the region. Nancy Hammond is a very accomplished artist. She attended the prestigious Rhode Island Design School and I recently learned that some of her work has even been featured in the Baltimore Museum of Art.
