I am over protective of my miniature schnauzer. I was very pleased with the way they listened to my specific requests with my dog. They handled my dog with care. I could tell the dog was happy when I picked him up. They have a window where you can watch the groomers (they are transparent). The cost is reasonable. Not sure what else I could say to emphasize this is a great place to take your fur baby and you can be satisfied they will care for your dog well. Highly recommend.

The first time the cut was ok - not great but acceptable. However, today (1/29/26) the cut was not good!!! In fact, I'm wondering if that groomer was "in-training" (not a professional) because even the simple wind tunnel was awful!! Not a clear line on the sides with patches of hair in varying lengths all over the underneath area!! Also his beard looked like they tried to leave him a goatee!! $76.00 is a lot of money to pay for a pet bath and cut, especially for a low grade attempt!!!! I always recommend the PAWS clinic because even though it's slightly more $ than the other low cost clinic in the RGV, the level of attention and service is SOOO much better when comparing the two. (For background, I have had one dog and four cats spayed/neutered at this clinic in Harlingen and one cat spayed at the clinic in McAllen.) The staff at the Harlingen clinic may seem rushed but they still take the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have. They have a lot of clients coming in everyday for surgeries and book pretty quickly, but still they answer the phone if you call in with any follow up issues post-surgery. Also, my babies are given an injection for post-surgery pain (included in the surgery fees)..which is a huge plus! Because I pamper my pets, and I don't want them to suffering when recovering from surgery. The McAllen clinic (with is not affiliated with this one in Harlingen) staff don't answer the phone consistently (it took a handful of tries before someone answering) and when they did they were very rude to me. They sighed when I asked a question over the phone like it was a bother. I still took my cat here because I live in McAllen, and at the time, I didn't know of any other affordable spay/neuter clinic nearby. I later learned about the clinic in Harlingen and they were much nicer about putting me at ease. (I'm a worried pet mom! Of course, I'm concerned with my furry little one is going into surgery.)
