My original review was unfortunately too long . It provides further insight and explanation so feel…read morefree to message me for more info . My daughter and I visited the shop during our annual week at Sauble . We wanted mother daughter tattoos that say "I love you " in each other's writing . The tattoo , the place , and time of year hold significant sentimental meaning . I put down a deposit to secure September 3rd at 4:00pm. We were told there would be an artist coming in at 3:30pm who was good with small print and hand tats . We arrived at 4:00 pm to be told there was a delay and they had tried to call. May or may not be true as there was no missed call record or voicemail. We were asked to come back at 5:30 and did . We were then informed they were still not ready and waited around until 7:00 pm ( 3 hours past the appt) before we were seen. We were told the artist we had booked with was still busy and were introduced to Monique . I quickly looked her up on Instagram and she def had some good work on the site so we decided to proceed . My daughter's tattoo was done first . The print was overall done well as it was very small. It is crooked and not in a straight line . Part of the y is missing ink and the o was done incorrectly . Overall she seemed happy in the moment though . I stressed to Mo the importance that my tattoo be in a straight line and I will say that it is . My concern is I immediately noticed certain letters missing ink or looking like lines were a bit sloppy . I told her I loved it but shared my concerns and was told it was just smudging and was fine . I didn't have a great feeling but she is the artist and so I assumed maybe I was over reacting . I got home three hours later to KW and immediately saw there were multiple errors . My initial message to the tattoo place was returned with a positive message about free touch ups and coming in when healed , specifying the next couple of weeks and they shut down in 4 weeks . I did request they hold on to the original hard copy or transfer in order to replicate . After several back and forth messages still haven't had this question answered so assuming it's been thrown out . I did express my concern with worrying now that it needs touch ups that my daughter's handwriting has been compromised . I also shared photos of all my concerns. I was told touch ups are free but there seemed to be little acknowledgment they had messed up. I was specifically told I was over reacting and there was nothing wrong with the application and their approach would be different if it were an application issue .I know it may seem like an over react if it's not your body , not your sentimental moment and not your daughter's writing but I don't feel it was an over react . I've also had it looked at by three tattoo artists in KW , all with 10 plus years experience who do say there were some application issues , specifically it looks "rushed ". I was also told by these artists that the tattoo needs 5-6 weeks to fully heal and I shouldn't have been informed to come in within 4 weeks . I don't know if this is true or not as I'm not a tattoo artist. I did ask to speak with the owner and was told by the manager that she handles these situations and was not provided with owner information. I do achknowledge that they offer free touch ups . My concern is the handwriting won't be able to be replicated perfectly and I have concerns about going somewhere to fix something when I feel like it wasn't done right the first time . Honestly I found this establishment to not be professional in their approach. I'm now with a tattoo that isn't true to my daughter's handwriting. Despite offering a free touch up I'll likely have it fixed in kw. I was told due to the size it will have to carefully be fixed and if after I don't like it or it can't stay true to handwriting I'll likely laser it off and have it redone . The pluses that I will say are the shop was clean , hygienic , Mo was very lovely , the manager seems lovely just not as concerned as I would expect.
