It was my first time going to get my haircut at this establishment and you never know what you're gonna get. with someone who's unfamiliar with your hair. Well, I walked in and Hector was available, and I had my back to the mirror the entire time, and I heard him snipping away, and I was afraid I was gonna look at a bald man when he turned me around. However, it was just the opposite. You gave me a tremendous haircut, and probably cut at least 3 inches off my hair. I could not have been more pleased with the end result. And then I hung out and we talked about pizza places throughout North Jersey for another 20 minutes, and I could've had that conversation for another two hours. two hours.

I have been coming to Leonard's for almost 20 years now (I'm 28) and it is by far still the best haircut that I've ever received. You will not be disappointed and best of all, you don't have to be a regular to get a quality cut. Leonard treats EVERYONE as a regular, possessing the bravado and one-of-a-kind swagger which makes the experience even that much more enjoyable. It is very hard to find a barbershop which does it old school like Leonard's. Barbershops might "look" the part, or try to take on a homely feel when you first walk inside, but it's not just the decor which makes this place feel like home. It's the character that Leonard has cultivated over the years which makes you feel like you can relax and gather yourself for a second, before heading back to the rat race that we all call "life." I highly recommend just stopping by one day and seeing what it's like to get a haircut here. You will be ensconced in an old-world culture - with new-age clippers - that does not disappoint. And oh yeah, the haircut is pretty good too.

I was really nervous coming in since I had regretted a few haircuts at other places in months prior - it's tough to explain the specific type of cut I'm going for. I wanted long in the back, short sides, and just-enough on top, all while adding length to the face. And despite all the specificity, the barber I had managed to do it all! My wait was short as well (~3 minutes, waiting for a couple of guys) on a Wednesday night. I think the guy I had was awesome; I am seriously impressed. He seemed focused and took his time to give me a really spectacular result. I'm glad I chose this shop since there were many options in L.P. and surrounding towns.
