Called 916-287-8411 to get scheduled. A man with a very thick accent answered saying "hello" so I asked if I had reached Vital Total Health. He sounded extremely frustrated by this basic question. He said he needed to give me a different number to call, then hung up. I called back, he laughed and said the number I was to call, I asked if he could repeat it because I did not have a pen. He did, and I asked if the number I had reached was the actual location I would go to for my appointment. I had not given him any of my info at all yet. This is what then transpired on 12/10/2025 @2:30pm: "Mam, I am not going to get into this with you" Me: "Excuse me?" "You have a bad attitude and I do not have time for that" Me: "Sir I work for physicians and you are not allowed to speak to me this way" "OKAY THEN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM THIS OFFICE!!!! BLOCKED!!!!" I was shocked, I had barely said a sentence during our entire conversation. I called my doctor's office who referred me, and they were shocked as well. I am being referred elsewhere, because I would never step foot in this place. Was this a doctor who answered? Staff? I would be terrified to receive care by these people and I will be letting anyone seeking similar care of this experience. This man was mentally unstable and has no business in any medical office. They are being reported to my insurance and other state agencies. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

I've only been back 3 days and my life is already 100% better. My counselor is Candi and although I've yet to meet her (see you Tuesday) she has been nothing but accommodating to me. I had an immediate legal appearance I had to attend and with less than a days notice I told Candi of how it conflicted with my required daily check in and bless her heart she made a temporary exception for me to be able to attend to my legal priorities and check in later in the day. She did not have to do that and I was honestly expecting there to be no alternative. I cannot thank her enough what she did truly saved me. If you feel like you have no where to turn no way to stop no way to ever get back on track STOP. There is hope. I know it sounds cheesy but it's true. And it's not easy. Not only to keep sober but to even get the ball rolling in terms of getting into the program. Just make sure you have insurance or $71 a week and it is well worth it. Think about what you blow a day and compare that to just $71; there is no comparison. Come get in and stay in. Your life matters and it's not too late. Love yourself and allow positivity to enter your life. You deserve it. And thanks to BAART, you can get it.

"Dr" Levin is supposedly a "pain management specialist". I wound up having to see this "doctor"…read morebecause my prior pain management doctor retired. I had a pair of ruptured discs and Mr. Levin told me that all I had was a "case of mild disc degeneration". He was further angered with me for my disinterest in attending group therapy sessions. I simply didn't feel that talking about my blown-out discs to other people would do anything to fix them. Mr. Levin even went so far as to suggest that I might be faking my injury to get a couple pain pills a day. In the end, I wound up with a mouth full of broken teeth that State Comp is going to have to pay for because of his incompetence. Mr. Levin told me that he was no longer interested in treating me (thank God!) and my attorney recommended an outstanding doctor. Mr. Levin even had so much spite for me that he booted me without refilling my pain meds - so fortunately I was able to have my HMO fill them as they didn't want to see me have a stroke as my blood pressure was incredibly high. Within 14 months of getting a new doctor, I was in for my surgeries to have both of my ruptured discs replaced, and I'm finally doing much better pain-wise. All I can say is to avoid this doctor at all costs, as all they will do is "milk your health benefits" for all they can while providing you as little relief as possible. Please note that I have referred to this "doctor" as "Mr. Levin" - because I fail to see how such an incompetent individual could ever get a license to practice medicine.

I finally got settled in a new apartment (had been staying with my sister) so I made an appointment with a new pain dr in town. It did not work out with that dr because it turned out his prescribing license had expired and the day I showed up he was missing and his staff had no clue where he was (another review for another day)...so I was forced to book a flight last minute to my usual dr. Because I had gone to another dr my usual dr would only agree to give me 2 weeks worth of medicine (he said he shouldn't have given me any, but understood because I was trying to find a dr where I moved). They gave me copies of my records and a referral to Dr. Levin's office (who I had called before I left for the trip to see what was required to come in). So when I got back to town I brought my records and referral to Dr. Levin's office. ..they said their policy was for the dr to review the records and see if their was 'anything he could offer' and then if so he would schedule an appointment. I figured no problem because I gave a crap load of issues, I have had physical therapy, spinal injections, acupressure, acupunture, massage therapy, chiropractic adjustments, water therapy, and medication. ..and I included MRIs, CT scans...and a stack of records so thick it cost $7 for me to get a copy made at 10 cents a page. So I go in, I give them all of that and tell them could they please hurry with getting back to me because my other dr only gave me two weeks worth of medicine. ...and I was very explicit about this and how important it was. This was Monday. Friday rolls around and I FINALLY get a phone call from their office (Btw I did call them and leave messages earlier in the week...heard nothing). I answer and the lady says she is sorry but the dr feels he can't 'offer me anything' because he doesn't prescribe pain medication at his office. I am thinking 'Are you kidding me?' He is a pain doctor, but doesn't prescribe medication. That doesn't even make sense. So he can't offer me physical therapy or spinal injections either...anything? I mean it's not like I only need meds...I also need other help. The point is he could have offered something or recommended a dr to help. They knew that at that point I only had one week of meds left...thanks to their quick review of my records. I am frankly pissed because I explained my medication situation on the phone to the receptionist when I called the very first time before I ever made my trip to my old dr and asked him for a referral. She could have informed me Dr. Levin did not prescribe medication at that time and I would have kept looking for another reputable doctor. I wouldn't have been left with my thumb up my ass without a dr looking like some addict about ready to suffer from narcotic withdrawals, also in extreme pain. Not to mention I do have a life...I can't just stop everything and keep going from Dr to dr, or check into the hospital if things get really bad. I have a son to take care of and responsibilities.
