I was visiting a friend who lives in Princeton and we came here for lunch. I adore local hole in the wall places like this. The walls are covered with wonderful old photos of the town, the staff was friendly and the crowd were clearly local regulars. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to eat, but I finally chose the Tiger Melt. It made my tastebuds do a happy dance! A juicy burger covered with bacon, fire roasted peppers and onions, American and pepper jack cheese, and their special sauce served on Texas toast. It didn't come with any sides, but that didn't make me mad because the burger was huge. My friend said their breakfasts were good, too. If you ever find yourself in Princeton, Indiana, give them a try!! read more

The Palace is one of those home town (lovingly titled) greasy spoons that you just can't help but love. Located right in downtown Princeton, this is a great stop for a burger or a tenderloin some great french fries and soda. The wait staff is always friendly and the food is always hot and delicious. It might not be fancy, but if you're looking for something made to order, look no further! As a side note, this is a breakfast/lunch time destination. I believe they close at 2pm daily. read more

Used to think this was a good breakfast spot...I just paid $3 for instant oatmeal that was brought to me with water standing in it. I also paid 50 cents for the equivalent of 2 pecans in pieces and another 50 cents for 7 dried cranberries to go in it. Also, it was supposed to include brown sugar and milk, which I never received. No one ever checked on us, we were never was offered a refill on coffee, and no one ever brought our check despite waiting about 15 minutes after we were done. If you don't care anymore than that about what you serve, then you don't care about earning my money. I wish I could give zero stars. Never again. read more

On the positive side, the Western Omelette was very good. On the negative side the eggs over easy did not have a good flavor. The sausage gravy appeared to come out of can with no sausage mixed in with it. The hash browns were not fresh and the serving size was very small for having to pay extra for them. We ordered a tenderloin to go along with onion rings. Again the serving size for the onion rings was quite small. We asked for them to be served during our breakfast so we could see how good they were since they were freshly made, but we did not get them until we were ready to leave.
