Nothing but good things to say about The Paisley Common!
This was the second year that I've been in town for the events happening and the second time I've been fortunate to have visited this great spot downtown.
We were the first customers when they opened at 9 am on a Saturday morning in June and had our choice of sitting downstairs in the beautifully decorated dining room, complete with booths to sit in and a lovely bar to look at in this heritage building, or upstairs in an equally compelling space to sit and enjoy the view out the window onto the busy street below, which is what we did. The third option was to go out on the second floor patio, which was also a nice way to enjoy the place.
Service was top notch here, even though we were on the second floor there was no problem getting whatever we wanted with multiple trips up and down the stairs for the server. I remarked to him about the music, which was both a nice volume level, good quality and great playlist. He remarked that it was his own personal choices which was very cool!
Food was perfect with our morning breakfast absolutely delicious and satisfying! I had the regular eggs with optional breakfast sausage, and my friend had the breakfast burrito. Home fries were nicely salted and crispy on the outside and mushy inside, just right!
One of the best experiences were the beverages here. I really enjoyed the locally roasted cappuccino with dark roast. Something that I haven't had in the City before and was unique and something different. Then I had a drip coffee which was also quite intriguing. The colour was on the yellow side and the taste was impressive. Best part was that I had several cups, with the first one arriving while I was still drinking my cappuccino, as I had asked and worked out well with a generous offer of multiple cups after that, so bottomless it is, which I took full advantage of. My friend said the chai latte was something she had never tried and loved the taste and presentation and will remember the experience for years to come, which was good to hear.
Hidden around the corner beside us were two single-user washrooms which was very convenient and welcome at this point in our trip after boon docking in a secret location in town.
Highly recommended when in town, and do check out the farmers market a few doors down for another fantastic experience! read more
