My sister introduced me to these on a recent day trip to Mount Martha, we stopped at the service station and shops on citylink for some brunch and at one of these shops they had beans or edamame as a substitute to chips. Well I decided to give them a go on her recommendation and we bought a tub of beans and a tub of edamame, we then sprinkled some Himalyan salt on them and devoured the lot. I preferred the edamame over the beans, they were also fun to squeeze out of their pods so I have been looking for them in shops ever since. So here I am ready to explore another bunch of new experiences in food from my local Asian supermarket, I can't wait. What are edamame you ask, they are soybean pods, who'd have thought it. Boil them up, add a little salt and get squeezing,Yum.
