I don't understand this business. It was highly recommended by my wedding venue, Lillian Gardens. I've tried to reach out multiple times now. I emailed through "the knot" website. I called their salon, left a voicemail and I also texted. I have not heard back. It's unfortunate because they are losing bridal party hair and make up business. I actually can't speak for the entire salon but I was a client of Julie's . I had to cancel last minute and knew I'd be charged the 50% fee so I reached out to let her know . I was then cash apped $215 for the entire amount of my appointment. I was then texted multiple times to pay the $215 . Called at 7:30am to pay the $215 . Then texted again . I texted saying it was 50% she then went on to tell me that she has her own policy . Never asking to reschedule when she had open appointments the very next day ! I felt harassed and like a criminal. I wasn't a new client. I was actually a good client and thought we were friends. She then agreed to accept the $107 and cash apped me again . Then went ahead and charged my card $107 from the salon ! Why was she cash aping me to begin with ? I don't pay by cash app ! Seemed shady and unprofessional and she appeared extremely money hungry. So I will not be returning. I like the salon but she should be held to a higher level of professionalism!! You don't harass people! Hope it was worth the 107 she so desperately needed!! read more

It's been about two years since I had highlights in my hair because I got pregnant and didn't want to do until my child was born and a few months went by. I went into The Opal to get full highlights in my hair. I went in person so the hairdresser could see my hair so they know what it's like and they know what to do to get the blonde highlights in my hair. I have thick Asian hair and it's really dark. I had blonde highlights in my hair before and I know that it takes a while to do and at least 2 sessions to get blonde in my hair. The front person that I spoke to scheduled an appointment with Lindsey Larson on a day to do it. I waited for Lindsey to look at my hair and no one came up to look at it. The front lady said it's ok and that my appointment was booked. The day arrived for my appointment with Lindsey and she was kind of shocked to see my hair and see how thick and dark it is. She didn't even really look or feel my hair to see if she can do it. She did tell me that it will take at least 2 sessions to do it and I knew that from the start. She then said she knows what she is doing and I trusted her by her word. But something inside of me said other wise, just by the look on her face. She said it will take about 4 hours which was kind of a shock to me, because when I did it before it took 6 hours because I have thick hair. She started my hair and it felt like she was in a rush and kept reassuring me that she knew what she was doing. The place has a 5 star rating for reviews so I was putting my trust in her. It look good from what I saw when I was at the salon. I paid $252 for it which is a pretty good price for full highlights. A couple days have passed and I washed my hair for the first time since the appointment with the shampoo that she recommended. After I blew dry my hair I noticed that the highlights were barely visible from the mid part of my head to the back of head. I looked in the mirror and I looked at the back and there was no highlights there. There was also major parts of my hair that she had missed and she didn't even do my roots. I had my husband look at it and he even said it look like she gave up half way. So I called the salon and told them what had happen and I was very unsatisfied about the job that Lindsey did to my hair. They told me to contact the Lindsey directly because they are independent contractors that rent out the chair and that they would let them know about it and they would contact me. I understood that and I contacted Lindsey through text message. She reply to me immediately and it upset me in her reply. I had my husband look at it and he didn't agree on what she replied. read more

I found Shannon thru IG. She was one of the favorites of the brides. I didn't really ask around to see who they can refer to me for my wedding, but when I saw her portfolio, I already knew, she was the one! When I first met her at her salon, she was very nice and open to anything I wanted for my hair. Even if I could not decide on what I wanted-- she was totally up to adjustments and last minute changes(you know, a bride can never make up a decision) on my wedding day, she was very very thorough, managed her time to do the entourage's hair. I am sooooo late at writing this review. But I wanted to make sure I gave Shannon the credit for doing an amazing job on my hair for my wedding. I was referred to Shannon by a friend and I was not disappointed. We did a trial to figure out what style I wanted, which I highly recommend, that way you can figure out if you need to buy extensions or look at different hair styles. She was able to achieve exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Unfortunately I bleach my hair and my blonde was way shorter than I wanted (I bleached my own hair). I bought clip in hair extensions. Shannon was able to work with them and made them blend with my own hair. I was shocked of how good my hair turned out. She is truly amazing. She also styled my mothers hair and my sister in laws. Everyone was getting compliments on their hair that entire day. I have also had my share of hair dressers. I can not tell you how sweet Shannon is, she makes you feel comfortable I was very pleased to have her as my hair stylist. I can't thank her enough for making my wedding day extra perfect.
