pelican roofing doesn't have carpenters per Kit or Kid. they hit three gas lines in my attic,…read morecausing a severe gas leak that was near deadly in my home and could've blown up my entire neighborhood and that is witnessed by the gas company. They tore off pieces of my chimney and when they nailed it back, that is where the nails went through the chimney they don't carpenters and can't paint it so I'm not quite sure of what they had on my roof nailing stuff if they don't have carpenters working for them, but it was nothing but non-English speaking people and there was not an English speaking person on my the day and a half that they were here, but they managed to speak three sentences of cursing when something went wrong. I am assuming that they knew they a gas line at some point when things started hissing because the gas people when they detected the gas leak heard the hissing coming from the chimney. Pelican Roofing accepted responsibility to reconnect the should've connected from the hot water heater to the they did not reconnect the gas or light the hot water caused me to have to hire someone to come out and reconnect the gas and hot water heater and they pay for it at the time and still have not paid for it. They are refusing to pay for the other two gas leaks that they prior to were no gas leaks when I moved in this house and there were no gas according to the prior owner and she witnessed that the gas bill shot up $200 over just a few days. Pelican was hired by the prior owner prior to close of this home and not hired by me so they are in for a rude awakening by the time we get through with them. They made a promise that they would do a good job on this home and that did not include tearing the place up. They want to turn around and blame it on building code . Well, if that's the case, no one in points of view should ever use them ever again for fear of building code violations, and maybe no one in Lafayette Parish should ever use them again in fear of building code violations. If Pelican Roofing wants to fight a war, picked wrong person to fight with because I will fight them and so will the old owner of this home that hired them.

the contractor sean sent to our home caused major damage to my roof which allowed it to rain in my…read morehome for 13 days. they still have not spoken to us on december 22nd the contractor, eric, stated that he would be finished with our home remodel. he removed shingles from my roof and left a 2ft x 4ft hole in my roof after catching the weather head on fire while he was trying to repair it. when he did this my entire property lost power, which caused my children and i to have to rent a hotel room. he did not come back for 13 days, while it rained in the mean time, inside of my house. we attempted to contact sean over and over and always got the run around. we paid them off before any of this happened. we finally paid someone to come out and repair our roof out of our own pocket. there were many jobs left unfinished because eric never came back and sean didnt send anyone else. sean is not great at communication, clearly he would just prefer to be paid. when the construction first began, seans crew busted a water pipe in my house. instead of trying to find a way to shut it off, they left my house with the pipe spraying water everywhere. when painting the outside of my house, eric, the contractor painted multiple large spots on my roof white. they have not offered to fix this, the spots are very noticeable, my roof is black. we paid over $1000 for plumbing, my husband had to install the toilets and repair the kitchen sink because eric did not hook up the cold water to the faucet. our master bedroom shower does not get hot at all, we will have to take the entire shower wall down to figure out what eric did wrong. he also left two pipes completely unattached so when the bath tub started to drain, it drained into my kitchen. eric did our granite work for us, the granite is currently not secured to the cabinets so hopefully my children do not hurt themselves on it in the meantime. they painted my cabinets, but while doing the granite the scratched up the fronts of the cabinets and did not repaint them. the kickboards on my cabinets are not in. the window screens are sitll sitting in my pantry, because they have yet to install them. i understand some of these things are petty, but the problem is we paid a large amount of money for these things to be done and they were not done at all. sean and eric have made our life complete chaos the past few months and they still refuse to answer the phone and complete the work.
