Today, a new clerk was checking me out at the cash. The customer before me was rude to the clerk but he acted neutrally. When it was my turn, I asked which cash we would be using and where I should put my basket because it's really awkward and painful to have to keep bending down to get items. He responded in a condescending manner that most people only buy 1-2 items and basically nobody uses the carts. I responded by suggesting they put a small bench at the front right under the cash on the customer side so we could put our baskets down while we unload groceries. He basically scoffed at me. So sad! Not sure if I will give anymore business to them!! Don't want to be belittled during my grocery trips.

Wow...you would never think it but there is a great deli inside this place…read more I've been in New Hamburg off and on for a year now. I've basically been to most of the places that I can get a lunch. I was struggling with even to bother having any food...I was stuck with Food Boredom. A person there recommended that I go to Cloverleaf and hit the deli. This place has it all. Food, drinks, frozen food galore, and most importantly, a deli counter that makes hot soups, great sandwiches and yummy chilli - plus a small salad bar. I've had the Reuben and on my most recent visit, I had the Turkey Ranch sandwich. Both times with the chilli - can't get enough of it. This is a local hot spot for lunch as there is usually a line up and about 6-8 busy ladies running behind the counter prepping delicious foods. If you like pepperoni or mini-sausage sticks, they have well over a dozen different varieties to try - lots of sample so you get what you like. I picked up the spicy pepperettes - would take a picture for you but uhm...they're all gone!!! If you happen to be on your way to Stratford and see a McClown's halfway there from Kitchener, pull in and go there. You won't be disappointed with the deli. Cheers!
