The store has several floors with a large selection of books. It has lots of Irish literature and Irish authors as well as fiction, travel, cooking, children's box and lots of others. Prices are comfortable to other bookstores. The staff were very helpful in finding books and recommending books. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Dublin

The books are new-book prices so they are a bit expensive but just seeing the huge selection of books and the huge store is enough. I ended up getting one book as a gift for a friend and a Hodges Figgis tote bag for myself. The people working here are friendly and knowledgeable. There is always someone around if you have any questions.

Fair play to Village Books for trying to diversify Irish readers' tastes. There is a fairly large selection of cards in store, of varying qualities, but definitely something here to suit all tastes. The children's and teenagers' book sections are quite extensive and there is also a considerable selection of fantasy books. Village books has quite an array of children's toys as well, so I imagine this would provide an excellent means of distraction for kids who are dragged here by their desperate-for-a-good-read mothers. Village Books has a pleasant, unassuming atmosphere and browsing is not frowned upon.

The wise owl almost has this Harry Potter feel about it- hard to find, claustrophobic, books to the ceilings and a mix of old/ new. I love love LOVE the layout of this quaint little bookshop in Omni Park. So cute and old-fashioned…read more It's all on different levels and has wooden staircases leading to shelves upon shelves of great titles. They always have great little deals on the books at the front. I've recently heard a rumour that this place is closing down (in the Omni location) due to the growing popularity of the new bookshop with attached café on the new extension to the building. I really hope that's not true, this place is one of my favourite local bookshops.

Still, it has something and has been an ever present feature of Omnipark, more or less, since its opening. 'Though having a small stock of books, it does have good bargains and cheap editions - at the moment, buy one get one free - some of which I've availed of over the years. This branch deserves credit for remaining here and is a testament to the little fish still prevailing.
