Booked a table for 6pm. Slow greeting on arrival, eventually shown to table. Delay in ordering drinks, eventually the manager took our orders. James the waiter took our order, one adult roast beef dinner, one child's roast pork. Food arrived unfortunately two adult meals. I pointed this out to James, he said he would address this. Food was cold. Nobody came back to ask if everything was ok. It soon became apparent that James was dealing with so many tables that there was no way he could meet the customers needs. Looking around I could see the manager and bar man socialising at the bar. I asked James if I could speak to the manager. Manager came over and I voiced my concerns. He's advised that he would only charge for a child's meal, which is what I ordered. His response to not enough staff was that head office only allow three staff on a Sunday. I pointed out that this was not our fault and his reply was , it's not mine either. He did take 20% of the bill but again I hadn't eaten. Such poor service from a restaurant we used to enjoy.
