I was a pharmacy technician for 20 years and I'm now a Registered Nurse. My husband is a surgical tech. We absolutely loved checking out all of the old pharmacy stuff and the old surgical instruments. We could have spent the whole day exploring this museum! The place is run by volunteers and there is a donation box at the entrance. We were more than happy to make a donation and we absolutely loved walking around the store listening to the incredible volunteer who shared great stories and little bits of history. I'm sorry I don't remember her name as I so enjoyed her. My husband and I would love to volunteer there too, if we lived in Oklahoma! I highly highly recommend that you check this place out even if you are just remotely interested in history or medical things.

There is so much history in that area and I'm glad that there are plenty of signs/placards in front of historic buildings around town that tell you its story. I really appreciated all of the detail and stories that the historical fund/society put into all of the informational signs. It's fun to look around town from the first State Capital building and see that each building was built in the late 1800s or the early 1900s. It feels like everything around you takes you back in time. I love those experiences. They also offer a trolley ride for a reasonable price which I believe shuttles you around town. The trolley is really neat but I didn't get a chance to take it but saw others enjoying their ride on it. I highly recommend that you take some time to visit and walk around the old parts of a historic town that's been beautifully preserved l and restored.

We toured it years ago and you could see all the old equipment and presses as well as the set up stuff over several floors. Don't know what's allowed today. This was more of a walk around tour if the city. The building looks great from the outside. Guthrie has a lot of history having been the original capital of Ok.

However, that being said, my dad is…read more So, seeing this museum, we had to visit and take pictures to show him when we go to visit for Father's day tomorrow. This place is full of Oklahoma sports history. All sorts of pictures, collector's items, and even seats and benches from famous sporting arenas. It should be more well known than it is. It was very warm inside, so I think they do need ac put in as those that go will want to take their time looking around. I know we did and like I said, we are not into sports all that much. But this was worth the stop. There is also an area for meetings and other events in the center that is designed as a replica baseball field. It would be a great spot for a sport banquet or honoring sporting event award winners.

She does the footwork and verifies EVERYTHING so not all of the stories are scary, but a few made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. She changes the tour topics during special events, so I am definitely going to her walk during the '89ers weekend.

The Missus and I made the trek up to Guthrie to see a show we had both been very interested in at…read morethe Pollard. Let me just say, I love historical theatres like the Pollard. They always have such a fantastical vibe to them and always have such beautiful architecture. The Pollard offers a small concession stand with a few snacks and drinks. I'll add that I wish they had some adult libations at the concession stand, but with it being a historical venue, I understand why they do not. We sat fairly towards the back, but the view was still great! There really isn't a bad seat in the house. My only major complaint is that the seats were a bit uncomfortable for me. I'd strongly recommend anyone that loves the theatre make a stop by the Pollard. It will not disappoint.
