Deluca is the package - great food, coffee, baked goods, atmosphere and service. There is literally nowhere else in the area that will give you all of these things for a reasonable price. The decor is lovely - a charming mix of polished industrial and cottage. It's covered with hanging bottles, jars, and has a nice stand with fresh baked goods such as scones, croissants and buns. The counters are lined with jars of cookies and slices, and there's a main display full of sandwiches and salads. You can also order off of their menu, which is a little pricey but worth the effort. I highly recommend the kumara cake with poached eggs! Whether you're a local or just stopping in town on your way up north, check out Deluca - it's a humble little spot that rivals the cafes of Auckland and Melbourne.

And my friend had the landing gourmet burger which was $12.50 my thoughts on the price was a little expensive especially the cabinet food for a stuffed kumara which was average sized costed $12.50 which I'm sure they bumped up the price for summer time to make a profit while it's busy, because during the winter time I came earlier this year the stuffed kumara was only $4-5 dollars? Which is double than what it is now including a whole lot of other foods there, I also tried the smoothies there which was very good, and an iced coffee which was okay but there was very thick chunky bits of cream and the coffee wasn't sweetened which would've made it better, the view is great and the atmosphere too, they do need a more practical set up of tables and chairs though as we had one guy ask if he could take a chair we weren't using because his table didn't have enough.
