The decor is nice and fits the local area well. Now for the negative unfortunately. We were not greeted upon entering. We sat ourselves at a table and after waiting for 15 minutes I went and got menus for the table. After waiting another 10 minutes we were able to flag someone down to get our drink order. We ordered a Bayou Dog meal and the lunch special (chopped steak). We waited another 30 minutes for our food. The "Bayou Dog" was lukewarm at best and was really just not good. It sounded great on the menu but the whole thing was a letdown and I believe the only sauerkraut was the one little piece of cabbage you see in the picture. My dining partner said the chopped steak was in small little pieces. Just weird. We gave up on drink refills or getting our check at the table and went to the counter to pay so we could leave. I have heard good things about breakfast so I will give that a try. The good news is this is a new business and they will hopefully learn a lot and make some improvements as they go along.

Being told to wait at the drive-through when there's no customers in the drive-through or in the lobby seems suspicious. Each time we have dined in here, our food has been decent and hot. It's close to ball park food, and I don't mean big league kind. I imagine at some point they probably had fresh made burgers on the grill or smash burgers, sadly, this is not the current state of affairs. Burgers taste like frozen US foods prepackaged without any seasoning. The fries don't have any seasoning, but at least they serve them with salt and pepper packets in the drive-through so you can live in them up. I will say that the staff is consistently, friendly, though the level of service is not always the same. And the facility seemed fairly clean.

Edd's Drive-In is a long-standing business in Pascagoula, Mississippi…read more I am a huge fan of the concept of a drive-in. The drive-in is such a slice of Americana and reminds me of generations gone. The concept of the drive-in grew with America's love of cars and there is something so cool about going to a drive-in. To be clear, Edd's Drive-In does not have car hops, you go wait in line outside a window, buy the food is still what you would expect. The menu is burgers, fries, hot dogs, milk shakes and the like. I went with a double chili cheeseburger and a chili dog. Both were good, but not great. The price was five dollars for the double chili cheeseburger and about three dollars for the chili dog. I will say that the place was pretty busy, so obviously, the community of Pascagoula, Mississippi lives this place. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend Edd's Drive-In.

5 Stars - A Must-Visit Spot for a Late-Night Bite!…read more I was in town for business and happened to be walking around the square when I came across King Dogs--what a find! Ms. Ingrid was outside to greet me with a warm smile and genuine Southern hospitality. She walked me through the menu, and her passion for the food was contagious. I went with the King Conecuh Dog and a strawberry soda, and let me tell you--it hit the spot. The hot dog was 100% beef and packed with flavor. Mine was topped with perfectly grilled onions and bell peppers, and the combination was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect late-night snack. The service felt like good ole Southern family-style hospitality, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. There are even tables outside if you want to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. If you're in the area, King Dogs is a definite stop. Great food, great people, and a true local gem. Don't miss it!

Even the person at the register was more matter of fact than friendly. After I ordered, the chicken for the sandwiches was then hand pulled from a smoked chicken leg, and another piece. I couldn't tell what it was, then chopped. Never seen this method of pulled chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit overly smoky and dry. I bit into a large bone fragment that was in my sandwich. I tossed it and didn't / couldn't finish my sandwich. Also, we were given two small cups of barbecue sauce for three sandwiches, which was kind of weird but speaks to that customer service and training part. The sides were really the best part, the baked beans and Brussels sprouts were quite good. The beans had a quality smokiness and sweetness to them. The Brussels sprouts were earthy and seasoned quite well. The banana pudding was off the charts. I definitely want to give this place another try but will wait a few weeks.

There is a little burger stand like this in the town where I grew up. You can walk up and order through the window or you can go inside and order, sit, and eat. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was there on a weekend so it wasn't busy but there was a steady stream of people coming up to the window. The menu has anything you want as long as it's a hamburger. I got a double. It had a good, char-grilled texture and flavor. The bun was fresh and soft and the lettuce, tomato, toppings were good. The fries were wonderful. It's a little pricey (and they wanted to charge me for a drink refill) but that won't keep me from coming back. Recommended.
