Went here w a few friends on a day out. It was a random find when we were walking down the street…read more Two friends got the ice cream sandwich. One loved it and the other was a bit meh, third friend got the waffle and devoured it-said it was the best he had for a while. The place itself is very bright and there was a queue of locals out the door which is always a good sign. They have a massive array of toppings and milkshakes which looked great too. Seating is very limited just tree or four high tables and stools. The staff were very friendly but the wait was about ten mins as they seemed a bit understaffed. They also seemed to be serving a tonne of soft serve ice cream. There are loads of options on the menu-it's a bit overwhelming actually-I couldn't pick anything so ended up leaving without ordering but if you want a snack give it a shot!

A cold, delicious, unique, beautifully crafted milkshake soothes your warm body on a splendid summers day! In fact nothing quite compares to this milkshake bar. The crepes may aswell be French, they are in themselves are enticing, a treat and not that but a delicacy. My friend also handed in his CV for work placement. The service is exquisite, I look forward to the conversing every single time I enter. This shop will always have a place in my heart.

We happened to show up at the same time as a chef who they had invited to the orchard, so were lucky to be treated to a tractor-pulled tour. Rod is zealous about his adherence to organic farming and is a bottomless pit of knowledge about the ecosystem here - he explained in detail why the orchard runs best when left to its own devices, including details such as the benefits of letting grass grow beneath the trees and housing his own bee colony for pollination. They juice the apples and let nature take over - no yeast added, and the natural yeast that is everywhere (yes, everywhere) takes over. The results are magical: their cider is amazing. They feature a dry real cider and a honeyed Medieval Cider, both of which were excellent, and the latter of which is smoother for sipping (though they are emphatic that cider should be enjoyed with food!) They also create a unique and tantalizing apple syrup and numerous spirits, distilled onsite - incredibly smooth vodka as well as brandy and other amazingly good potions that you just have to try. Some of the local restaurants serve their ciders and syrups, and we found ourselves hunting down Highbank products for the rest of our visit to Ireland. Rod and Julie are a brilliant team and we really enjoyed our visit - we plan to stop by the next time we are in Ireland!
