Loved this place so much, ended up coming back on our second day staying in Kilkenny. The vibe is warm and inviting and the service staff was very kind. The food was yummy and looked beautiful. They definitely take pride in their presentation. 10/10! Must try!

What a wonderful little cafe in Kilkenny. There are a few tables outside and a few inside. Beautifully decorated with plants and herbs. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The cappuccino was delicious and presented well! The pancakes were so yummy and perfect to share over coffee. We loved it so much we even got a sandwich to go for later.

Excellent cafe with terrific tasting food. Pancakes with bacon came wit so much bacon we could not finish it. Yes, we could not finish the bacon and yes, we love bacon. :) I was very happily surprised! Service and Coffee were also excellent! Great out door and indoor seating. Quaint inside. Highly recommended.

Wonderful spot for breakfast and coffee. As usual the americano coffee in Ireland is spot on fantastic. After 2 cups I can I conquer the word. I had the healthy smashed avocados on sour dough. You can also get this gluten free, just ask. My wife had the porridge. Yes it is hot and it's a large deep bowl. All very good. We did table service but the also have take away. I would go out of my way for this cafe again

Even though this is my third pure-pleasure trip to Ireland, this is the first time I had visited the cute hamlet of Kilkenny, and this was all Jamie W.'s doing since he planned our vacation here. We were staying at the handsome Pembroke Hotel just up Patrick Street when we stumbled onto this charming spot on the way to Kilkenny Castle. Everything in here is decorated in a rustic chic garden style with whitewash on most of the chairs and the brick wall, a particularly decorative wallpaper cascading the rest of the walls. The breakfast menu available from 8AM to noon was small but appetizing (photo: http://bit.ly/2f2JqjK). Perfect for us since we were still recovering from Guinnesses and Irish stew from the night before. It was still shocking that neither of us went for the three varieties of pancakes they offered. Jamie instead ordered the €6.50 Brekkie Bagel which featured crispy bacon, sliced sausages, and tomato relish in a toasted poppyseed bagel with a side of potato chips (photo: http://bit.ly/2eGbwOz). It was a yummy carnivorous treat. I decided to go for the €6.50 Smashed Avocado on Sourdough, which was basically fresh pea-festooned guacamole without the salsa on a thick slide of toast with mint leaves and feta sprinkled on top (photo: http://bit.ly/2ezUyDb). It was genuinely delicious and much better than most of the avocado toast I've tried stateside. A piping hot €3 cup of Cappuccino proved to be the ideal accompaniment (photo: http://bit.ly/2eiFOqP). FOOD - 4 stars...a light delicious breakfast just 'cause AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...somebody has nice taste, leprechauns perhaps SERVICE - 3.5 stars...not incredibly personable but it'll do TOTAL - 4 stars...cute spot with tasty treats makes a nice respite in Kilkenny

Stopped in here before visiting the castle and it's so good! The coco coffee is AMAZING, the soup of the day was amazing, the avocado toast was amazing! Perfect stop when your traveling through Ireland!

This is the best restaurant in town. I would highly recommend everyone who visit Kilkenny to try out this restaurant. Normally, i never give review in yelp, but this restaurant need to receive a major recognition from other tourists. I did post of some foods that we ate at the restaurant. You guy can check it out. 1. Focaccia with goat cheese , Bacon and Walnut (best Focaccia ever) 2. Bagel with Avocado and Chicken 3. Avocado with sweet potato fries (very delicious fries)*highly recommend

Cute cafe. It has freshly baked pastries. We had a great breakfast there. The latte was wonderful. We also loved the hot chocolate with marshmallows on the side. The Nutella crepe was delightful! The bacon and maple syrup was well made. I had the veggie wrap which I enjoyed very much! All four of us were very happy with the food!

My lunch in Café le Coco in Kilkenny yesterday made my day! Inside, the café is decked out with teacups, buttons, ribbons and all things nice. The menu is really interesting, making it hard to decide what to choose; from crepes and paninis, to quirky salads. I ordered the Halloumi and Pear salad - this was packed with some of my favourite things; avocado, pistachio nuts, pomegranate seeds and more! Delicious! We were there after the main lunch rush so were able to take our time and chat over coffee and a tasty malteaser slice. The staff were really friendly and the coffee was good. Next time I'm hoping to not be so full and try the spinach and mascarpone cake!

A delicious rockfall brownie in Cafe la Coco.

The best spot in town for homemade cakes. The staff are all lovely and they make a mean hot chocolate! Ask when you're in which cake is the best that day as they make fresh cakes daily. There's usually a brownie of some form and they're always delicious. The decor was being updated the last time I passed but it's a pretty, girlie haven.

    Happy place!!

Food/Cost: (4) My traveling companion and I came here for a quick bite to eat after a long, cold…read morewalk around the city. I got a Raisin Scone (1.90 euros) and Veggie Soup (3.50 euros). I think the soup consisted of pureed veggies -- perhaps celery, carrots, and peas? The soup was well seasoned but I can't quite place the specific spices used; it smelled slightly of curry though. Overall, the soup was enjoyable and thoroughly warmed me up. What really impressed me was the scone. The raisins were large and plump and the softness of the interior was nicely done. Definitely worth the price. Ambiance: (5) This cafe was a artsy, cool vibe to it. There is an upstairs area as well, but I'm not sure if its dedicated to the art aspect of the cafe. The baked goods and foods are in the back wall of the Cafe, and the rest of the Cafe is filled by glass tables and leather chairs. The decor may seem a bit disjointed at first glance, but it works for the artsy aspect of this place. Location: (5) Kilkenny Art Cafe is conveniently located in one of the many small streets in the City Center of Kilkenny. It's a short walk from the Castle and all of the shopping (Kilkenny isn't that big to begin with). Service: (4) The girl who took our orders and waited on us was friendly and accommodating. We waited 5-10 minutes for our food and it was served hot -- particularly my soup, which nearly burned my tongue. We were in a bit of a rush, so we had to ask for our scones to be packed up for take-away (after our waitress already plated it and brought it to our table) which the waitress did with no attitude. Overall: (4) I would highly recommend Kilkenny Art Cafe for tourists who need a place to rest and eat while visiting Kilkenny. Actually, I would even recommend it if you aren't a tourist. In fact, my friend and I came here upon a recommendation by a local man who said he comes here weekly for the 5 euro stew . If I lived in Kilkenny, I would definitely come to the Art Cafe to meet up with friends, study, relax, and attend the interesting art classes that they offer here.

The server came over within 10mins which is think is perfect! We did not have any issues with service during lunch on a Monday. As others have stated the windows and location are amazing! To start we ordered a scone that came with butter, amazing raspberry jam, cream and was very warm and toasty. It was really great way to start our meal. My husband ordered the cappuccino and the smoked salmon sandwich, the sandwiches come with a little side salad that was really great. He raved about his cappuccino as well. I ordered the turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing Sandwich and it was GREAT! It came our quick and was toasted perfectly - I did add mayonnaise, because as an American I love my condiments haha We also shared a side of sweet potato fries and were yummy, but we're definitely overpriced at €2.95, although we did not mind paying at all. Ireland is not the cheapest place in general. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!
