Several years ago I had used Sherri Noel as the real estate agent for the purpose of finding suitable tenants to lease a residence that I owned that was located almost 40 miles from my own home. She was recommended by a good friend of mine who lived in that area. Sherri presented qualified tenants for us each time and the terms and conditions of the actual Lease were negotiated successfully and things went smoothly. I posted a positive review of Sherri as a result of the great job she and her team did back then. This review is for the services that she and her team rendered in connection with the sale of the same residential property. For various reasons I decided to place the house on the market for sale and there was no doubt in my mind that Sherri and her team should be the only agents or brokers to consider. She prepared and presented a thorough written market analysis and we agreed on an asking price based upon that analysis. I was then introduced to the members of Sherri's team who would be directly involved with me and the marketing of the property, consisting of Alexander, Jade and Gigi. Most of my direct interactions were with Alexander on a regular basis, and Jade and Gigi guided me through the maze of the voluminous amount of required paperwork. I am not the type of person who automatically signs every document put in front of me, and all of my questions were answered and my concerns addressed. Alexander also provided his input on so many matters, including the hiring of the right company for the "staging" of the property, meeting various inspectors and repair companies to perform necessary work on the property and, when necessary, he or another team member took care of meeting these people/companies onsite when I was unable to do so. Which was most of the time. He was always there when I needed him. This allowed the transaction to move forward in a timely and smooth manner and they were a pleasure to deal with during the entire process. Jade and Gigi were great in explaining things and helping me with the paperwork among other things related to the transaction and escrow process. The house was beautifully staged, there was an open house and there were individual home showings as well, and early on there were multiple offers received. Sherri, her team and I spoke extensively during the process and they continued to address issues and explain things when necessary, resulting in the close of escrow on time. They were absolutely patient and took the time necessary to explain things that I did not understand, as the amount of paperwork required for such a transaction in the Los Angeles area of California had skyrocketed over the years and several of the forms were of the type that I had never seen previously. They walked me through everything where I had questions, and were prompt in returning calls and emails. An unfamiliar number calls and instant regret, "I shouldn't have filled that form out" I think, "I'll just screen my calls like Destiny's Child." I never answer unfamiliar numbers, but for some reason I answered this call and I am so glad I did. Athene was on the other side of the call and she was so calming. I felt at ease. She asked me a few questions regarding we were at in our process and asked if my husband and I would be wiling to come in so she can walk us through how it all works etc... Now look again fellow yelpers, I lived in Burbank and she was in Santa Monica of all places. I DON'T CROSS the 405 for ANYONE. But for some reason, I felt like we should go. So we schlepped ourselves all the way over there on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and met wonderful Athene. We told her we were interested in Culver City condos. She walked us through the process, started sending us properties, went to some showings with us. AND THEN I threw her for a fast one. I told her we wanted to move to South LA. For what we could get a condo for in Culver City, we could get a whole house near DTLA, YES PLS. I found a dream listing and Athene was on the case. What can I say other than I could not be more satisfied with Sherri and her team. Years ago we bought our first home and the seller's agent happened to be Sherri Noel. Just wish the selling agent had been someone else, or that Sherri Noël had better ethics. Of course the seller wrote a 5-star review -- probably primarily b/c it was solicited from SN, b/c he didn't know about some of SN's omissions and failings (e.g., leaving house unlocked), and the seller himself failed to disclose things he definitely knew about. We've spoken to others in the neighborhood who've dealt with SN also and have heard similar things, and she has a poor reputation with other real estate agents. I love my house, no buyer's remorse, just urge you not to work with Sherri Noël if ethics and consideration matter to you. read more

I have found that most just take a class and fill out forms, but ultimately lack what it takes to be a professional agent. What separates Sherri from the rest is everything. Sherri and her team sold our last home, purchased our current home, and most recently helped use with a very tricky land acquisition. Her professionalism, knowledge, demeanor, and people skills are beyond exemplary. Here are some details. When we sold our home, the marketing quality she provided was top notch. When you browse the MLS, you see all kinds of pictures of the listings. With Sherri, you will get the highest quality listing, period. Photos that make you want to see the house, the ones that make the house look fantastic, the ones done by a professional photographer that showcase the best qualities of your home, check. They will make it into the papers and all the websites. Sherri has an eye for detail and is very smart about what you can do to make your house sell. When she looked at our kitchen she suggested we change out the cabinet hardware handles and such. It was a very low cost update, maybe only a couple hundred dollars, but it made our kitchen look ten years newer. After all of her suggestions, our house looked so great, we wondered why we were selling it. We sold that house in 2009, which was a very tough time to sell. It was a buyers market. We sold it for what we wanted to get, and sold it fast. When we purchased our new home, we were the first people to see the house when it was listed. And, we were the first to make an offer on the house. It was a very prized property and it had multiple offers before the first open house, but it was already ours....in a very strong buyers market. Need I say more? Most recently we purchased a small piece of vacant land next to our property. It was owned by someone that had purchased it with the sole intent to sell it at a profit as it had absolutely zero use for development. This was a very sensitive situation that required the utmost tact, and careful negotiations. It also required an extraordinary understanding of real estate laws and title issues. It was a very difficult situation for us to be in, and we were convinced we were going to end up in a lawsuit over the property. Calling Sherri to negotiate a deal to avoid court was our last hope to acquire the property. Once again, Sherri came through. In my opinion, this deal exemplifies what makes Sherri an a-list, top notch agent. She was able to negotiate a deal with a seller who was not trying to sell. A seller who's sole intent was going to be to sell for the highest possible price because we needed the property. Sherri knows how to work with people, plain and simple. She knows the playing field. She has an impeccable eye for detail. She can think outside of the box and adapt to any situation her client is put in. She has gone the extra mile for us every time because that's her standard. Noel had done business with this builder before, so after only about the second open house the push was on to sell to this person. Sherri Noel is the rudest woman I have ever had the misfortune to meet. At an open house today she aggressively confronted my wife to pick up our dog, I had no problem picking up our dog, it was her tone that was utterly abrasive. when I confronted her about it, she told she thought "the English had manners", she then attempted to drag other people at the open house into the argument, who promptly left. I can confidently say I will never view another of her properties let alone put in an offer. She didn't greet a single person, or ask if anyone had any questions about the property they were viewing. I could go on but I highly doubt her company will be in business for very long with her attitude. read more

My brother and I were initially impressed with Sherri and her team; they certainly were expeditious in selling my mom's home (although it can't have been that difficult since the house was in a highly desirable area). One of our first questions had to do with providing a date of death valuation for tax purposes. However, despite her assurance that it would be 'no problem', it took many weeks after Escrow closed and after constant emails on my part requesting the report before her office sent a check to cover the appraisal. I don't know why it took so long if she really intended to provide the information in the first place. To me this demonstrates a lack of professionalism and integrity. I do not trust her. She totally let us down and, as a result, I am not comfortable giving her an unqualified recommendation. I might add that although Sherri did explain she was having difficulty accessing the MLS listings, her team was lethargic in providing updates (as to efforts they were supposedly still making) or even responding to our emails requesting such updates. This lack of communication led us to believe that, once the sale was complete, we were being 'written off'. It took nearly 8 WEEKS before her office finally agreed to provide a check to pay our own appraiser, which we subsequently did and had a report within 8 DAYS! Do the math. It's a little hard to believe an accomplished and experienced realtor couldn't have done what we did if she/he really wanted to do so. Maybe if Sherri had taken as much time to arrange an appraisal as she did monitoring and writing her responses to reviews, I might have a different opinion. read more

First, I am rating the Noel Team only, and not Keller Williams, as I am active in the real estate market and although each KW office is different, my experiences have been quite mixed with KW as a company. I heard about Sherri through a friend who owned a home in the area where I own an investment home that I intended to rent. My friend did not know her personally, but was familiar with Sherri's name because of her high profile in the Mar Vista/West Los Angeles/Santa Monica area. I had recently remodeled/renovated this rental home and I do not live close to it. I should say that I never met Sherri or any of her team in person. She worked so quickly and efficiently, that I did not have to. Here is what happened: I contacted her by telephone and she immediately got me comparables for the area and gave me a projected lease price that I thought might be too high, although the comps seemed to support it. I reviewed and signed the listing agreement and she and her team went to work immediately. Offers came in quickly, and she was not rushing me at all, meaning I could be as selective as I wanted to be for a new tenant, and she agreed with me in every case. Rebecca stayed in touch with me constantly by phone and email, and seemed to be there at all hours. She knew the answer to every question I asked and was as pleasant and professional as could be. Sheri gave me marketing advice, including suggesting things that I did NOT have to do in order to get the property rented. I was not in a hurry, and she did not rush me. She offered to meet in person several times, but I do not live close and since I am a professional in the business, I knew she was doing her job. She was easily accessible, totally professional and got the job done. She also helped me in so many ways, including meeting on site with vendors (as did Rebecca) so that I would not have to travel to the home when vendors needed measure, install, etc. I am extremely pleased with how smoothly the transaction went and with the quality of the tenants. It's only been a couple of months, and there have been no problems. I would absolutely use her and her team again as a leasing agent or agent to sell property. I do not necessarily consider myself to be an 'easy client", as I do read everything, pay a great deal of attention to detail and ask lots of questions if I feel I need to. I am also picky about tenants and the maintenance of the property. She and Rebecca maintained their high level of responsiveness and gave input that helped seal the deal. I am not removing her from my speed dial, even though this deal is done. They stayed on top of it even though it was just a lease deal, and as a result, I hope to do business with her again.
