If they cannot be certified, there is no charge and I just needed to come back with the right documents. Downtown Notary offers a lengthy booking process with multiple confirmatory emails consisting of terms and penalty charges for each category that you may commit before seeing the commissioner. The commissioner who addressed himself as "lawyer" would charge you a no show fee for whatever reason you are bringing the incorrect document as he claimed you're wasting his time which worths 200+ dollar per hours. He even gave me a deadline to find the correct document and bring it back to him to certify. Never before have I experienced such cumbersome and unprofessional service.

What an easy, breezy experience!…read more When I was told that I would need a document notarized, at first I didn't know where to turn. Luckily, I stumbled upon Downtown Toronto Notary and their clean, easy-to-use website let me book an appointment very quickly. How it works: you pick a location, which seems to always be a public coffee shop, and then you pick a time. Then when the time comes, you meet at said coffee shop, do what you gotta do and walk away with your signed off forms. The whole process was efficient and comfortable. Unfamiliar territory could not have been made any easier. Thank you!

I was nervous after reading previous reviews complaining about how long everything took but given how professionally everything was done and with attention to detail , I was impressed with how quickly everything progressed. Staff is courteous and friendly and they took time to explain the whole process. Their charges are very reasonable. A special thank you to Shannon Doyle who gave us the initial information and followed up in clarifying follow-up questions. Will not hesitate to use their services in the future.

Great rates and is registered with US consulate!…read more Needed a power of attorney notarized to file in the US. The cost to notarize 2 was $25, which is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the competition. Since he is registered with the US consulate, you don't need to go to the US embassy, which saves a LOT of time and money. Not to mention it is impossible to get an appointment at the US embassy with less than a few weeks notice. He is very efficient, which I really appreciate. We arrived at the appointment about 10min early, and he came early to meet us. We were done by the time the appointment was scheduled to start! Highly recommend!! Ps. he only communicates via text (not phone), which is okay for me. But if you must talk via phone, you can pay extra. I'm totally fine with that since that reduces the chance he will be late because he is being held up talking to someone else.

Worst Yelp experience ever…read more Based on the reviews here at Yelp, I contacted Vinh to get wills and power of attorney documents done for my husband and I. After emailing the completed forms he sent we didn't hear back and after numerous attempts to reach him by text and email we left a voicemail message and received a nasty text back that there were lots of reasons why he didn't reply, he could have had a personal emergency. He didn't say he did, he said he COULD HAVE. Thing is, we found recent tweets online under his name and none of it was about being unavailable due to some sort of emergency, and his voicemail message made no mention of being unavailable. All it would have taken was a 2 line reply to just one of our texts or emails to say he doesn't handle wills anymore, or that he never received the completed form. Instead he was totally unprofessional. I was originally afraid to post a negative review for a lawyer but I read another bad review and figured I owe it to my fellow Yelpers to share my experience.

Instant is an understatement!…read more When you lose your passport, all sorts of stupid bureaucratic policies get thrown at you, including having a Statutory Declaration letter notarized. I have been putting this off for months but with a trip to NYC planned at the end of the summer my procrastination was put on notice. The secretary and the notary were sweet, friendly and even cracked jokes with me... Ikea lineups for meatballs are more stressful than this place. My service cost $20 and I was in and out of this office in less time than it took my father to circle the block to find parking. I hope to never have to go through Passport woes again but if I do I know where to go!

Khurana charges only $20 for your first notarization. This law firm is on the 2nd floor of a multi-business building center. It's a cozy office with a small waiting area, and a secretary who is pleasant and smiling on first greeting you as you walk through the door. The service was fast and professional.
