It's a small building that has so many cool items on the inside from homemade goods, crystals, carvings, herbs, jewelry...the list goes on! It's a neat Native American store with lots of stuff from lots of tribes across the Midwest and Southwest. I'm originally from New Mexico, so I could recognize a lot of the Navajo and Hopi designs that they had around the store. They carried a lot of drums, dream catchers, and other tribal goods. When I went, there was a guy shopping for drums, and I was impressed to see their selection of tribal drums that they had to offer the guy! The offer lots in the way of stones. The shop has even made little placards that explain the healing powers of each stone. If you have certain maladies, you can get a crystal to put on your chakras to alleviate the problem. The selection is amazing. Whatever your problem is, they have a beautiful stone to cure it. Even if you're not into the stones as a healing mindset, it's still a really cool rock shop with beautiful specimens of lots of wonderful stones at quite reasonable prices, and so what if they'll also cure your migraines! They also have incense, smudges, and herbs. Parking can be a bit challenging, since it's right on the busy square. They have a friendly little dog that'll greet you at the door, he's cute!

Ten Thousand Villages is a fabulous retail spot to support. While the store has over a hundred locations in North America-- they do fair trade right. Every handmade purchase directly impacts the life and community of its maker in a developing country. I hopped on their site one day during quarantine to shop with my mom in mind. The site is so, SO easy to navigate. There's a Gift Finder tab that I found extremely helpful. I opted for the Recycled Sari Flowers. No two flowers are entirely alike due to them recycling fabric. They were made in Bangladesh. (My mom does NOT have a green thumb. I feel like fabric flowers will be welcomed.) On the site, you get to see a blurb about the maker of each item. It makes you feel good to see who you're supporting with your purchase. Shop Ten Thousand Villages for any gift giving you may have.
