He came out to look at the unfinished project immediately and had it fixed within a week. My initial thoughts when booking this project with RyCoe were nothing but positive and I truly believe now it was not done on purpose. I have a lot of respect for the way he handled fixing this and I will continue to use RyCoe for future projects. I am extremely satisfied with the end result.. my landscaping looks beautiful. Extremely disappointed in my services from Rycoe. I reached out to them about landscaping and Ryan came out to take a look at what needed to be done so he could give us a quote. I was very specific about what I needed done and it was listed in a breakdown on the invoice perfectly. It took a while for the guys to come out, but I waited patiently anticipating the final product. The end result came out great until weeds started popping up everywhere. My husband kicked the mulch and we both realized landscape paper was never placed under the mulch like it was talked about AND I PAID FOR. I reached out to Ryan in hopes this would get fixed, and he did respond to me stating that he would look into it and get back to me. It has been 8 months with no communication at all. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but it feels like I got scammed. I had even originally asked if they could just use the landscape paper that I had bought since I already had it and I was told no. I paid for a product and service (that was very expensive) and did not get at ALL what I paid for. I am extremely disappointed and will never recommend this company to anyone.

The parts of the lawn that were very overgrown were pretty evenly mowed and the rest of the lawn was just right. I did not expect them to be able to come the day I accepted the contract but they did. (We were happy they could.) I called them Monday and described the property to Sean and he gave us a quote for a one time mow. I told him that part of our lawn was very over grown (3 feet tall in places). Tuesday, I updated the description on his web site and he adjusted the quote. We spoke Tuesday morning to ensure that our description was clear. We accepted the bid then he explained his crew was going to be in our area so he suggested that we pay by credit card (we do not use Venmo) we did and paid the quoted amount (included tax), tip and credit card processing fee. His crew showed up around 2:00 PM. They asked my neighbor if they could park in his driveway. My neighbor said yes and gave them further input about our lawn. My neighbor said they were polite, friendly and professional. I would use them again if I could not mow the lawn for some reason. The prices seemed reasonable for the service provided.

First, he "lost" my phone number; weeks later when I called him again said he had a guy who could fix my pond issues. call #3 [why did I keep trying?] I wanted the weeds gone from around and in the pond. He said he'd start the work after Labor Day. The Thursday before labor Day I was not home. My husband found 2 women taking pictures of the house. My husband could not reach me all day and when I returned home I saw the women [with kids] on their cell phones at the pond. They were supposed to be weeding around the pond. They CUT THE TOPS OFF. They cut down my blooming butterfly bush. When I tried to speak with them -- THEY DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! Saturday morning I left a message that I did not want anyone else from his company to come to my house and I would call him Monday [I forgot it was a holiday]. He showed up at my house [claiming he did not get my message] and got belligerent when I explained my concerns. I gave him a check for more than the work was worth and now, a week later, the weeds are back. I have been picking stones, bottle caps, latex gloves and clumps of dirt from the yard. I need to redo the work [YES-- he suggested I use Roundup around the pond]. HE should pay ME for what he did.

This summer I hired him to do some extensive yardwork involving mitigating a swampy area and clearing out an overgrown area including a rather large dead tree and regrading the area. He also did some major tree trimming about the property. All of these jobs were done extremely well, at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. Clean-up was thorough. Josh and his men were professional and friendly. I like hiring local and it's great to know he is available to do the kind of work that so often pops up on a rural property.

We have experienced two tree removals with Josh. One was three years ago when our next-door…read moreneighbor hired him and we shared the cost with her, as the tree was at the property line. The other was last week when she hired him to remove a dead ash that was threatening our home. Both times he did the job properly but was rude in the process. On this occasion, we spoke with him by phone about his plans to go all the way across our property and onto our driveway in order to remove the debris. He reluctantly agreed to take the shorter route on our neighbor's property, but when he arrived he started to set up in front of our house. It took several attempts and the threat to deny permission to access our property before he finally became civil and did as we asked. The tree which was very tall and difficult to remove came down with only a little damage to our oak, but Josh never acknowledged or apologized for his rude behavior. The bottom line is that if you want a skilled tree service with seasaoned workers, and you don't mind being treated badly, Josh is your man.
