That was the first time he beat me and it continued for over a year and a half. It wasn't often, nor related to drugs or alcohol. It would just happen out of the blue. I stayed because I was too embarrassed to tell any one, or to leave, but I knew I needed help...and thus began a fifty-year search for a therapist that could help me get over my trauma. I went to many therapists, spent thousands of dollars, and couldn't find a therapist who understood why I couldn't get over it. It was purely by accident that I found Jason Johnson four years ago, and working with Jason as my therapist has been a life changing experience. Jason listened to me, he was calming when I related the horrible experiences I could not get past, he somehow understands how a woman feels about being abused and divorced at 20.
