I wish I could return to continue my treatments; however, my own schedule does not work with theirs. That being said, they do offer flexible appointment times and a variety of services. I wish they would be able to get an Osteopath at the clinic again as that was something that initially attracted me to the office.

As part of its "wellness" theme, they also offer other services (nutritional counselling, cupping, physio), but I only went for the massage. Ample free parking outside. They do direct billing. $85 for 60 minute massage, $125 for 90 minutes.

As a result, I was unable to drive, unable to read, unable to use my computer. I had to use Uber for every trip I needed to make. In short, it meant a virtual end to my freedom. The doctors said there was nothing which could be done, except to wait to see if it would improve over time, after which they could either (a) fit my left eye lens with a prism or (b) perform surgery on my left eye. Fortunately, I knew of Acupuncture Care Holistic Centre and Dr. Ling Duan, and the potential of acupuncture to rejuvenate and regenerate a nerve/neural pathway. I had originally met Dr. Ling Duan 8 years ago when I had Bell's Palsy which "paralyzed" the left side of my face, and her Excellent care and treatment with acupuncture cured my condition then. After 2 months of Dr. Ling Duan's acupuncture treatment, my double vision is now fully cured...the "paralyzed" 6th nerve on my left eye has fully regenerated and re-established itself. I am SO grateful to be able to see normally once again...to drive, to read, to watch TV, to use my computer, to live a full life. Thanks so very very much Dr Duan. You offer such a wonderful and valuable service with your acupuncture knowledge and treatment. Sam Wei

I can see why this studio has disabled reviews on Google. I had a terrible massage with Gwen. While…read morethey were polite and respectful, they talked my ear off about their personal problems for the entire ninety minute massage. I also booked a deep tissue with Gwen and it was a relaxation massage at best. I indicated that I required more pressure (I am very athletic and compete in a lot of endurance sports) and that request was met with no change in the service. The next day, I noticed that my back was actually more irritated and something happened to my IT band because Gwen aggravated a very, very, like a decade's old, knee injury that hasn't bothered me in a number of years. It's too bad I had this experience because they studio is clean and aesthetically pleasing and located near where I live. If you go to this massage place do not book with Gwen.

Bobbi just goes in cold & it's too painful for the muscles and too aggressive. I love getting a normal deep tissue massage done, but this was ridiculous. Bobbi the RMT explained before my appt. that she does extremely deep work and the 90min I requested isn't needed cos she gets to everything and her style of massage will be too much too handle for that long. We had words back and forth but I agreed to try an hour. She also said she was massaging for many yrs and employed by The Elks so she thinks she knows everything but who cares?? That doesn't mean that what you do is for everyone and it very much isn't ! It's for football players and athletes basically, who like their knots being attacked with no warm up of the muscles beforehand. After my so called...massage...she asked me if she missed anything, and I was thinking..ya some actual massage maybe instead of holding onto the table in pain? And the tops of my shoulders that were the worst weren't addressed properly. The day after my massage I felt the same as I did without it. Exuse me but I know what I need and I'm not "being sold 90min massages by other therapists", I enjoy a normal deep tissue massage that actually DOES help me, and 90min is usually the time that's needed for it. I've been getting massages for over 25yrs and you think I don't know what I respond to and what I need for my own body?? Of course if you just jump in with no warm up and hardly any actual massage it takes less time just to jump from knot to knot trying to fix them but that's not what a lot of people want, + it's extremely painful doing that in the first place. Then I got her number for a medical referral she wanted from me, & as she hands me her # she says "Just text me that it's "The B****" contacting me and then I'll know it's you". ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS?? This is how you talk to new clients?? Or clients in general? I know you work for the Elks and have a long list of regulars by now.....for what reason escapes me, but WOW. And don't tell me you were just kidding or I'm too sensitive, that was a passive aggressive comment. Thanks for the discount as I deserve it putting up with your aggressive know it all behavior & rudeness. As for the B**** part it takes one to know one! (Consult with new clients after you read their conditions on the phone to determine what they actually want, because what you do isn't for everyone and you don't know everything. It will save people from showing up for nothing).

I have been a patient of Dr V's for about 8 years. I truly believe that she saved my life. When my…read morefamily doctor said she was concerned about my kidney readings there was a very long silence as I waited to hear what she suggested be done to correct it. When it became obvious that she had nothing to offer, I asked if I should drink more water. Her reply was yes just drink more water. The way she said it did not leave me with the confidence that she was sure. I had never been to a Naturopath before but figured it would be worth trying. When Dr V looked at my blood work, she indicated that she understood why my doctor was concerned and indicated that my kidneys were dying. I asked if it was reversable to which she said of course. She set me up on a supplement and said it would take about 10 to 12 months to get my kidneys back to health. A year later my blood work showed that my kidneys were just about back to normal. Since that time each time I have my annual physical I take the bloodwork to Dr V for review and she has guided me through it with the answers I need to address the issues that show up in the blood. I am 68 years old and thanks to Dr V I am not on any of the medications my family doc has tried to get me on over the years. Each time a medication is suggested, I talk to Dr V and she has had the answer either through a supplement or a dietary change that corrects the issue. Most recently I asked her what is the next step in me being proactive in keeping my health instead of waiting for an issue to occur. I just completed a routine to reduce the plaque in my system. I absolutely feel the improvement in a number of the areas this process has said it will including reduced brain fog, more energy and so much more. Thank you Dr V for being who you are and for the quality of life that I enjoy largely because of your guidance

I made the appointment on recommendation of a friend who is also a patient of hers. I booked an appointment for my son just because he has a bit of a weaker immune system. The office is spacious and clean, with a large seating area with comfy chairs and an awesome plush carpet. My son couldn't resist taking a role across it plush carpet. They offer several services including chiropractic services message, acupuncture and physiotherapy. Despite the appointment being delayed a half hour I left her office feeling satisfied with the visit. Dr. Khamba really took the time to listen and asked the questions that needed to be asked. What she recommended were some simple vitamins and probiotics. She also recommended a food sensitivity test called IgG. Which I will let you all know is not covered by my health insurance plan and is a wee bit pricey. (Although well worth it from what I can tell from my research) Above all I really got the sense that she cares about her clients and has a passion for what she does. If you're considering becoming more proactive about your health I would definitely recommend a visit with Dr. Khamba. Her approach is mainly diet based. No voodoo snake oil stuff here. My friend who has a gazillion allergies and suffers from eczema and frequent illnesses has seen huge improvements in her health since seeing Dr. Khamba. And what's crazy folks even her eye sight has improved. I'm talking needing a new prescription for her glasses better. I hope my son will have a similar experience.

I was really looking forward to my appointment but I cancelled before I had it…read more I went online and used the online booking option, first mistake. After that I received 5 emails from Red Leaf Wellness. The first one was to confirm my appointment and I think that's fair and completely standard for business. The second was an email about the scheduling, the third was to confirm the confirmation I had made by a) making the appointment and b) by confirming the first email, the fourth email was a reminder emailing about my appointment, the fifth email was to get me to sign up for their patient records and fill out the intake forms. If your still with me after all that confusion with emails and annoyance of all the emails there is more! This is all one day after making my online booking for a week and half from now. Then after the emails I received a phone call from the office to tell me about the emails and that I haven't completed them. A few minutes later I received a text message about my appointment. I did not agree to text messages or emails but clearly that doesn't matter. I was also told I would need to provide a credit card so that if there was a last minute cancellation or a no show they would charge me. I understand this is for the protection of your business, but I haven't even walked in the door and you want my credit card. I'm trusting complete strangers based on their website with my well being, but after 5 harassing emails and a phone call to inform me I haven't completed your forms, I'm then told you require a credit card?? I'm supposed to trust you with my personal information, but you can't trust me for my first appointment? I canceled my appointment, and when asked if I want to rebook I said no. I was speaking with one of the two practitioners who runs this business. I would think when I said no there would have been more of a conversation about why I was cancelling. Oh well. Here's my review. I will find some where else to have acupuncture done.

With a very frozen mouth, I went in to check them out. It's a fairly small clinic, but they sure pack a lot of services in there! I've been suffering from migraines for the last few years. I had seen a chiropractor waaaaaay back when I was in high school, and something finally reminded me that it would probably help my current pain and maybe it was time to get back into it. There was one tiny hiccup at my first visit - The email that I got from them said that my appointment was at 9 am, but when I got there it was actually at 11 am, so I had to come back, but that wasn't a big deal. She was running about 10 minutes behind, but they advised me of that when I arrived. Once I was in with Dr. Joseline, I was really impressed. She asked a lot of questions to really understand the issues and what I wanted to accomplish. She explained what the course of action would be, and asked even more questions to find out what I was comfortable with in terms of treatment. I'm really looking forward to continuing my care at this facility. And they send you home with an ice pack after your first visit just in case there's any tenderness :) It was a nice touch. My focus right now is on chiropractor services, but they also offer acupuncture, massage, counselling, life coaching, reiki, weight loss...... I'm sure there's more! **Update on March 3, 2016** I have now experienced their massage as well and let me tell you.... I won't go anywhere else. It's a small room in the clinic, and you can hear much of what is going on outside the massage room which could be unsettling for some, but really didn't bother me as the treatment was so perfect. I've also called for last minute chiro appointments when something was bothering me and have had no issues being squeezed in. Most recently, I had to go in on a Wednesday, which is not a day that Dr. J is in, so I saw Dr. Lacina instead. She is one of the few people in the city certified in Active Release Therapy and it's really effective. I am now comfortable going in on any day and seeing any doctor while knowing that my care is in the best possible hands. The staff can't be beat. This will sounds silly, but I genuinely leave feeling really happy. It's not just physically beneficial, but it also has a really positive affect on my emotional well being. They have 2 other locations (Spruce Grove and Jasper ave). I highly recommend this clinic for everybody.
