When I walked in, I loved the felling of calmness and serenity that I felt. The front staff was lovely and while I waited for my service, I browsed the brochures they had available for people to read. The room I received my acupuncture was warm and comfortable and I am so far happy with the supports from my ND. Some benefit plans may cover naturopathic services so it's good to check it out. They offer workshops and sessions on various topics at the centre as well as other locations. Check out their facebook page for more information. I see babies in here so that is a cute distraction while I'm waiting for an appointment. The parking is along the side street but not too far from the building.

She did acupuncture for her and the baby jist found it to be fun. As soon as we got to the car the baby sneezed snd her sinuses cleared. I have never seen that relief for this poor kid. Then the baby slept like a rock. Im so grateful for Nadia and really glad we were referred to her by our chiro.

I decided to see Dr. Lena Kim, because she has good credentials, and her office is located on 124th street, so it was easy for me to get there. It's not cheap to see a naturopath. I can't quite remember how much my visit was, but the first time must have cost me over a $100--this is for a 55 minute session. Any visit after that is around $60, and they do give student discounts. Before I went, I had to fill out quite a few pages of paperwork about my medical history. When I met Lena Kim she was really nice. I really got the sense that she was interested in helping me. She didn't just want to prescribe me something or tell me to take something. She was genuinely concerned and motivated to help me feel better. After we spoke, and she got a sense of what my needs were, she did a number of muscle testings on me. I didn't know what this was, and I felt rather odd and skeptical, while she was doing it. First, she had me hold my arm straight out. Then she had me hold jars with different herbs in them. For each jar, she would press on my arm. The idea is that if I could resist the pressure, my body needs the herb. If I cannot resist the pressure, my body doesn't need it or is allergic to it. After the testing she gave me a sheet of paper with all the things I need to eat or take and when I need to take them. She had some suggestions of some vitamins and herbs I should buy from her. She was really sensitive to the fact that I didn't have a lot of money, so she suggest I just buy one or two, and she even suggested places I could get some of the things cheaper! She also gave me many print-outs, like on skin brushing and deep breathing, that were really helpful. Her suggestions really did help a lot, but unfortunately I didn't have the money to keep seeing her. When I can afford it again though, I will definitely go back.

I have been a patient of Dr V's for about 8 years. I truly believe that she saved my life. When my…read morefamily doctor said she was concerned about my kidney readings there was a very long silence as I waited to hear what she suggested be done to correct it. When it became obvious that she had nothing to offer, I asked if I should drink more water. Her reply was yes just drink more water. The way she said it did not leave me with the confidence that she was sure. I had never been to a Naturopath before but figured it would be worth trying. When Dr V looked at my blood work, she indicated that she understood why my doctor was concerned and indicated that my kidneys were dying. I asked if it was reversable to which she said of course. She set me up on a supplement and said it would take about 10 to 12 months to get my kidneys back to health. A year later my blood work showed that my kidneys were just about back to normal. Since that time each time I have my annual physical I take the bloodwork to Dr V for review and she has guided me through it with the answers I need to address the issues that show up in the blood. I am 68 years old and thanks to Dr V I am not on any of the medications my family doc has tried to get me on over the years. Each time a medication is suggested, I talk to Dr V and she has had the answer either through a supplement or a dietary change that corrects the issue. Most recently I asked her what is the next step in me being proactive in keeping my health instead of waiting for an issue to occur. I just completed a routine to reduce the plaque in my system. I absolutely feel the improvement in a number of the areas this process has said it will including reduced brain fog, more energy and so much more. Thank you Dr V for being who you are and for the quality of life that I enjoy largely because of your guidance

So even though I just need a vitamin C treatment, I have to pay $300 to see the doctor, plus money to do the extra blood test. Especially since I don't have time to wait for the Dr to get back into town I have a serious surgery coming up. I am crushingly disappointed.

Although I am glad to see this business up and running again, I am disappointed with how much they've downsized. The new store is rather small, and it now focuses mostly on vitamins and other health supplements. There is a small section of organic food and gluten-free products, and there's a small seating area, where you can sit and have a lunch or an antioxidant smoothie (healthy!). The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. I bought some vitamins, and the lady gave me a student discount, which was great. I will continue to shop here, because I am loyal to this place, and their prices are still very reasonable, especially the vitamins. I do hope they expand again one day soon--I really miss their humus!

I chatted to one woman who worked there about the products, and she told me about the many uses for coconut oil -- as skin moisturizer, for instance -- which I found really interesting. I finally settled on one, and as she rung up the sale she told me about the brand I was buying, and how they actually let monkeys pick the coconuts to be used. I thought that was pretty funny. So the service here is always great, but the only thing I have a problem with is their pricing system. It's really hard to see which labels on the shelf belong to which items, and I often get confused, buy one product, and realize it was a different price. So they might want to organize their shelves better. But it won't stop me from coming here, because I like giving them my business.
