IQ Realty is Beyond Incompetent--They Are Dangerous and Negligent…read more I have experience in rental properties, and I would never, in a million years, treat tenants the way IQ Realty treated us. Their complete lack of professionalism, blatant disregard for tenant well-being, and outright incompetence made renting from them an absolute nightmare one that put our health and safety in serious jeopardy. Let's start with Stephen, the so-called "manager." This man was consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional even yelling at us on multiple occasions when we simply requested basic maintenance. Instead of addressing the endless issues with the house, IQ Realty acted like we were the problem for expecting a safe, livable home. And when I say issues, I mean nightmarish, unacceptable, lawsuit-worthy negligence: - No hot water for weeks after moving in, with IQ Realty dragging their feet on a solution. - Severe plumbing issues, "fixed" by random, unqualified handymen who made things worse. - Black mold throughout the home--never properly addressed putting our health at risk. - A major gas leak due to the incompetent, uncertified workers they sent which resulted in us being hospitalized. Let me say that again: IQ Realty's negligence put our lives in danger. - Embarrassingly lazy and ridiculous "repairs"like shoving toilet paper into a hole to hold up a toilet paper holder.That's their idea of maintenance. At every turn, IQ Realty ignored our concerns, treated us like an inconvenience, and refused to take responsibility for their dangerous neglect. I've worked in property management myself, and I can confidently say that this company is an absolute disgrace. They cut corners, they lie, they put profits over people, and they have zero respect for their tenants. I would never rent from them again, and I strongly urge anyone considering it to run the other way. Mr. Ami gave us personalized information about the neighborhood, contacted three different contractors, and attended the open house with them. He sent us videos and photos, called us to video chat while there to answer any remaining questions and talk through the details of the condition of the house, its needs, optional fixes/upgrades, etc. He let us decide what work exactly we'd want estimates for and got us the contractors' bids for all of the fixes on our needs and wants lists, including one estimate that was surprisingly great, all the same day, and with time to write an offer. One of the big expenses was going to be emptying the house of tons of books, and he offered to put us in contact with someone who would be able to pick them up for free. Basically in every detail Ami was great at brainstorming good solutions and supportive of what we wanted. In the end, we understood that investors were bidding the price higher than our intended budget, so we declined to proceed, but even then he sent us the nicest response about it, no problem. What a gem. We found him easy-going and friendly, and down-to-business when it was time to be. Great qualities to make you feel comfortable in your house search but also know he'll go to bat for you.
